Have you ever seen a burnt orange Tau army? Check out this absolutely incredible paint job from the Warhammer 40k Tournament at the 2020 LVO!
The 2020 LVO brought players from all across the world to roll some dice under one roof. With the meta healthier than ever, we saw some incredible armies from the event. Now that it’s all over, we can show special attention to some of the most beautiful armies we’ve ever seen.
Tau LVO 2020 Army Showcase
This army comes to us from Joe Darbisen
Have you ever seen Tau look so dope? While this army might not be on a “finished” display board, this color scheme is one you can spot from tables away.
Rocking the meta-tested Riptide/Drone spam list, you can’t be mad at an army that looks this good. Each armor panel looks to have a faint glow in a deep fiery orange. Plus, the bases are a sweet design, using a dark earth-tone to keep the focus on the minis.
Attention-to-detail was given even to the lowliest Fire Warrior. With every single crevice in the mini hit with a black pin wash and the Tau insignia hit with a purple glow, these guys came ready to turn heads.
If you could manage to make it past the Drones swirling around the army like an angry frisbee tornado, you’d see missile after missile pointed right at your armor column. And if they couldn’t plink enough wounds off…
We all know a Fusion Commander and Burst-Tide can most definitely finish the job! Outstanding work on this beautiful army!
What’s your favorite unit out of the force? What color is your Tau collection painted? How long have you been playing them?
