Retributors are all about being the Sisters carrying the heaviest weaponry to cleanse the enemies of the Emperor!
With basically every weapon in the squad getting a buff in the first round of FAQ’s we wanted to take a look at these heavy firing Sisters! The Adeptus Sororitas have always been about cleansing the heretics with holy fire. Now they got a whole lot better at it! With Meltas getting more damage, flamers getting more range, and Heavy Bolters getting more damage, this squad can dish out more firepower than ever! They make either great tank killers with the Meltas or can mow down huge swathes of infantry. Get out your most loyal gear and let’s learn about the squad!
Gaining the Rank:
Gaining the rank of Retributor is not an easy task. It takes years and years of service in a normal Sister’s squad to even be thought of for promotion. They only allow the most level-headed and determined warriors to join the ranks. Because not only are they some of the best shots the entire Order has to offer, but they are also some of the most faithful and dedicated. Their faith in the Emperor is unmatched throughout the entire Imperium. Well, Celestine may have more, but come on that’s just not fair. Just to be chosen is an honor most never see, but once they are their faith only grows.
Once they are chosen they are trained extensively in the art of long-range support. As they need to keep their more front line sisters safe from the ravages of heavy vehicles, monsters, and massive infantry. Depending on the mission they are either armed with Heavy Meltas, Heavy Bolters, or Heavy-Flamers. When they turn their sights on something, it’s not long for this world. They revel in the idea of getting to cleanse all Heretics with such awesome weaponry.
They Won’t Back Down:
Just because they have long-range weapons does not mean they sit idly by in the back. They advance just slightly behind their fellow Sisters providing blinding fire the whole time. When armed with Heavy-Flamers they often sprint forward in armored Rhinos, just itching at the chance to burn the enemy to the ground. When they jump out they can destroy entire units in a single volley of holy fire.
Faith is a Powerful Shield:
They believe the Emperor guides each and every shot they take. This allows their acts of faith to somehow be even more spectacular than most of the Sisters. Because they employ the most level-headed of Sisters, they always find the perfect target to take down. Even if it means their own demise, they will prioritize targets to best complete the mission. They use their belief in the Emperor to shield them from any fear and will always find a way to destroy the enemies of the Imperium!
