Usually, lists try to bring a fast objective grabber for quick reaction time in-game. However, these Death Guard Marines went all-in on slow-moving hard-hitting firepower.
With three Dakka-viathans and Plagueburst Crawlers on the board, Mortarion’s followers had some real tough units that the enemy had to chew through.
Getting a close-up peek at the Leviathans, they’re rocking the tan look with some of Nurgle’s rot seeping through the ground that they cover.
The detailing on this armor really has something going for it. Check out the identification numbers on the Leviathan’s right Ceramite plate. Have you gone this far into detail with your 40k models?
Even the Plagueburst Crawlers have sludgy green grime on the front plate that contrasts well with the tan paint job. It looks like it just plowed through Nurgle’s Garden before it showed up to the battle.
Last but not least, with about a quarter of the lists points, these Death Guard Terminators are a whole other level above the Termie competition. These guys might be slow but their extra toughness and Disgustingly Resilient rule help them stick on the tabletop longer than most.
With the unit’s bases all matching, this Death Guard army is rocking details some other hobbyists tend to look over. Great job hobbying strong and giving the Death Guard a great reputation for looking repulsive AND crisp! Let us know what you think about this army in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
