This is the ultimate combat force, loaded with 13 miniatures ready to storm the battlefield and obliterate anything in their path. If your enemies thought they could hold the line, they’re in for a rude awakening.
It’s like assembling an all-star team right out of the gate, plus you can even play this box as is in smaller games of Warhammer 40k, aptly called “Combat Patrol.”

Is it Worth It?
Of the newer CPs we’ve seen, this is actually on the higher end of value (well over 50%). Plus, you get a pretty interesting and elite force. If you grab the army box as well, you actually grab a really solid starting force and almost have a full army!
Plus, while some of the newer 10th Edition Combat Patrols have been underwhelming (compared to 9th edition boxes), this one has more value than the previous few we’ve seen.
How Many Points Is This?
So, you’re wondering how many points the Death Guard Combat Patrol box racks up, eh? Well, in Warhammer 40k 10th edition, this box hits with about 440 points (at least in our rough estimates; it could change once the codex comes out). But, as you know, the tides of the Grimdark universe are ever-shifting, and with the latest points updates, that number could quickly fluctuate.

What to Buy Next?
Well, you have a good mix of troops with this box, but it doesn’t force you into any one style of play. However, if you can manage to grab the army box as well, you will really have a great start and almost a full army. But either way, you’ll need some tanks to blast the enemy from afar, and the Death Guard have so many cool wild units, you might as well grab them too!
So, while this box is a great starting point, it is only 450ish points, meaning you’ll still have the vast majority of your army to collect. So, don’t forget the rule of cool, and if you can find the Poxwrought Vector Battleforce that would worth it as well! The meta will always change, but cool models will always be cool.
Final Thoughts on the Death Guard Combat Patrol
From plague-ridden heavy hitters to a transport that’s basically a rolling tank full of doom, this box doesn’t mess around. It’s got value, it’s got attitude, and it’s got enough Nurgle stink to keep your opponents six feet away. Social distancing, Warhammer-style.
We’ve crunched the numbers, compared the boxes, and talked our way through the savings so you don’t have to. Bottom line? If you’re eyeing a Death Guard army, this is one heck of a power-up. Just don’t blame us when your shelf space starts mysteriously shrinking.
