GW just announced Warhammer Day 2020 Saturday, October, 31st and a new exclusive Warhammer 40k Space Marines miniature!
That is right, Warhammer Community just announced the new date that was rescheduled from the summertime, and what new exclusive mini it will be today. They said they are doing it on Halloween as a little treat to all of us gamers. Warhammer Day is all about having fun with the hobby and enjoying a break from real life.
We weren’t sure how they were going to approach it this year with all the COVID craziness. We’ll have to keep an eye out for more special events happening, but for now, we know they’ll be a new mini at the very least. If you remember last year they brought us Sister Superior Amalia Novena, and this year we get a Terminator Chaplain that can be used in every Chapter.
Here are all the details:
Warhammer Day 2020:
There are countless ways to celebrate Warhammer Day, whatever your situation. You could be relaxing at home, painting models while listening to Warhammer audiobooks. Perhaps you’ll be with a friend or family member around a socially-distanced gaming table, vying for victory. Maybe you’ll drop by your local Warhammer store** to get some advice and supplies for your next hobby project. No matter where you are or what you’re doing, Warhammer Day is about having fun and sharing what you love about your very own Warhammer hobby.
** Respecting your local guidelines for everyone’s safety, naturally!
There you have it from GW themselves. Just go out and enjoy the hobby the best way you can on the 31st (which is a Saturday)! We all love the hobby so might as well go enjoy it while you can.
Commemorative Mini:
This Termie will be usable in every Chapter, including Deathwatch and Grey Knights. The perfect mini to add that extra bit of fervor to your army!
Chaplain Tarentus will be available in stores and online from Warhammer Day itself until the 8th of November – so make sure to order yours while you can!
They don’t mention whether or not it will be available just in GW stores or LGS as well, but judging by last year’s independent stores may also be included. We’ll just have to wait and see if our local stores will have some on hand. They also don’t mention how many will be available, so we would recommend getting in early before they sell out.
Who knows how long they will actually last on the site.
Here is the old Chaplain in Terminator armor, they stayed with the same concept but just really upgraded the look! Pretty cool to get an upgrade for such an old mini.
Are you excited about Warhammer Day and the mini? Will you be playing Warhammerthen or just doing some modeling?
