Coming hot off of Forge World’s pre-order section, the Gorgon and a bundle of Death Korps of Krieg are ready to be deployed to the frontlines!
Forge World surprised us a short while ago with the Gorgon transport as well as a small bundle of Guard to throw inside it. And now that they’ve been sitting for a week, they’re finally off pre-order and are now available.
Gorgon Armored Assault Transport $270
The Gorgon transports up to 50 Imperial Guard infantry across the battlefield in safety. It is armed with two twin heavy stubbers and two Gorgon mortars, the latter of which can be replaced with the supplied heavy bolters, heavy flamers or heavy stubbers.
This 54-piece highly-detailed resin kit makes one Gorgon Armoured Assault Transport.
Rules for fielding it in games of Warhammer 40,000 can be found in Imperial Armour Index: Forces of the Astra Militarum.
Harkening back to a rough design of the WWII Higgins boat, the Gorgon is bigger than it looks. Bringing 50 total Guardsmen to the frontline, this thing is intimidating to see on the table.
Death Korps of Krieg Infantry Platoon $392
Start your Death Korps of Krieg army or add in some reinforcements with this bundle. It includes a 10-man infantry squad, advancing on the enemy and features a sergeant and a guardsman with a flamer. A 5-man command squad is made up of a senior officer, vox operator, standard bearer and two guardsmen. The bundle is rounded out with three 2-man heavy weapon teams – one armed with a lascannon, one with an autocannon and the final one armed with a twin heavy stubber. All 21 troops are ready to die in whatever siege you send them into.

In light of the Gorgon being one of the most-wanted units for Forge World to bring back, be sure to check out our earlier post of other things we could be seeing Forge World re-release.
