GW Announces Abaddon & New Chaos Space Marines!

eternal crusade abaddon

Are they really only 26 days away? GW just previewed a new Chaos Marine and Abaddon looks to be on the way as well! Don’t miss this!

Followers of the ruinous powers rejoice for the return of Chaos may not be that far off!

Hot on the heels of their big video announcement thought the narrative of Haarken Wordclaimer about the potential return of Chaos this spring, we have a a preview of what appears to be Abaddon himself, although not actually named.

Let’s look at the latest from Warhammer Community, and the LVO previews!

Shadowspear Box Set & New Models

A new Box Set called Shadowspear is coming and contains forces of Chaos & Space Marines. The Box will contain all new miniatures.

new chaos marines

While the Chaos Marine unit itself is nothing new, the black Legion are getting completely new sculpts! It’s been a long time coming for Chaos support and we’re finally getting it!

obliterator new 1New Obliterator models are coming inside the box that look to be festering with Chaos warp taint. These brutes are fantastic on the table and become even scarier with the Mark of Slaanesh.

Chaos is Rolling out New Warmachines

urban conquest 2

What happens when a Spider bites a Daemon Prince? That thing.

Forces of the Black Legion were spotted making their way through a blasted archway with some kind of (Daemon Engine?) which we’ve never seen before.  Now we know more!

Venomcrawler

Arachnid Daemon Engine Venomcrawler

…the Venomcrawler is a skittering horror that provides withering infernal fire support. This thing is so saturated in the taint of the Warp that its presence thins the veil of reality itself, allowing Daemons easier access to realspace.

Master of Possessions

The New Sorcerer that was previewed earlier is actually some kind of character that specializes in possessions. He’ll be armed with spells that are specifically designed to help out Daemon allies and corrupt the enemies around him.

new chaos new years open sm abaddon

While we can’t tell you anything about this guy yet, it’s safe to say he’s not a good guy – and the Imperium is in for some very dark days indeed…

From the picture itself, it appeared that not only are there Primaris Space Marines depicted, but also the outstretched Talon of Horus in the top right seems to indicate the presence of Abaddon himself.

Speaking of Abaddon

The unmistakable Talon of Horus wielded by Abaddon the Despoiler.

The Daemon sword Drach’nyen?

Abaddon looks to be coming. GW showed “The Warmaster” and a video with his iconic Talon of Horus and Daemonic sword standing on a dead Primaris Lieutenant.

At the very end of the video, the clock began to countdown once more from 26:00:00. This looks to be pointing directly towards Vigilus. The Warmaster could be making planetfall when the clock strikes zero to stop the Ultramarines in their tracks.

Taken literally what the countdown really could be, however, is the day that actual new models and content previews arrive from Games Workshop, as March 5th, 2019 is on a Tuesday.

Now that the rumors have seemed to have panned out for new Abaddon and Obliterators, do you think we’ll see a Fulgrim Daemon Primarch model and new Noise Marines as well?

They were the other part of the rumors that we had seen in 2018 on new Chaos. Judge for yourself:
