A sneaky Space Marines release hit the Target online store back in October, and now it’s come to most of their brick and mortar department stores as well!
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen it. Back in October, we reported that this game was available online only on Target’s webstore. Today GW confirmed that now it is fully available in at least 1000 Target Stores in the US.
Warhammer Adventures Labyrinth of the Necron Available At Target $39.99
Space Marine Adventures is a fast-paced cooperative game for 1-4 players, pitting a squad of brave Space Marine warriors against the menace of the alien Overlord and his robotic footsoldiers in the dark and dangerous labyrinth of the Necrons.
We’ve covered this base game earlier. Essentially, it’s a multi-stage dungeon crawling game where you and your friends will play as Space Marines. As you make your way into a Necron Labyrinth, you’ll have to fight to survive. The cool part is that you can order it from Target, but the expansion looks to be a B&N exclusive!
It looks like Games Workshop is continuing to seed their universe out into more and more avenues. As we move further into 2019, so far we’ve seen a TV cartoon series called Warhammer Adventures. In the hobby world, we’ve seen ETB releases including cheap collectible minis designed to get new hobbyist’s feet wet.
GW Confirms Space Marines Release at Target Stores!
We originally saw this set as an Online Exclusive, but thanks to Warhammer Community we know that it has hit store shelves too! When we checked online with a few random Target locations they even have them available right now.
“Space Marine Adventures: Labyrinth of the Necrons is now available in 1,000 Target stores across the country, and is set to appear in even more in the coming days.”
This cooperative board game pits a team of Space Marines against the skeletal horrors of the Necrons in a fast-paced adventure set in the depths of a tomb world. Battle together against four kinds of enemies as you explore the labyrinth and complete a variety of missions.
The box includes five push fit Citadel miniatures, each of them a mighty warrior of the Adeptus Astartes. These gorgeous models have been available in some areas of the world as part of the Space Marine Heroes range, but this is currently the best way to get hold of them.
On Barnes & Noble’s webstore, there’s also a Space Marine Adventures expansion released on October 15th, 2019:
Space Marine Adventures: Rescue Mission Pack (B&N Exclusive) $24.95
Space Marine Adventures is a fast-paced game for one to four players, set in the dark and dangerous labyrinth of the Necrons. This expansion gives you a new mission to undertake – Rescue – and introduces three new Space Marines, each with their own unique wargear and skills.
NOTE: a copy of Space Marine Adventures Labyrinth of the Necrons is required to use this expansion. Contents: 3 plastic Space Marines
Like it said above, this is an expansion from the Space Marine Adventures: Necron Labyrinth Set. Coming inside this box, however, introduces three Marines originally seen from the Space Marine Heroes Series 1 (just cast in different color plastic).
- Crimson Fist Brother Hermanez: Originally Brother Remus
- Dark Angel Brother Bethor: Originally Brother Promethor
- Silver Skulls Brother Maxus: Originally Brother Titius
On top of these Marine figures, it also comes with:
6 x Activation cards and 3 x Space Marine Datacards. One for each Space Marine miniature. Each card features the rules on one side, and the rules for the model when wounded on the reverse. 2 x Mission Briefing cards, 1 x Challenge card and 6 x Special cards. Each of these cards includes special rules for each of the Space Marines included in this set. Also includes a construction guide for assembling the miniatures. This includes a guide for how to play a campaign with this mission pack.
