GW Unveils 3 New Easy-to-Play Boxed Games

boxed gamesGW revealed 3 new easy-to-play boxed games that will probably be available at big box stores with faster gameplay and rules.

Sometimes you want the feel of Warhammer but don’t feel like playing a whole game, well that’s usually where the box games come into play. These however take the box games to an even smaller level with even fewer minis than something like Necromunda or Blood Bowl.

Warhammer Community showed off the three new games along with some info on where to find them. Obviously, these are generally made for getting people into the game but could be fun even if you’ve been playing for a while. Let’s check them out.

GW Unveils 3 New Easy-to-Play Boxed Games

New Boxed Game

New Boxed Game 2

Smaller in scale but no less bloody, the six-a-side version of Blood Bowl gets a new season, bringing you more gory gladiatorial action on the gridiron. With streamlined rules that are simple to learn, but rewarding to master, you can get into the game at a breakneck pace – quite literally, for some players.

The D6’s version of any football-style game is really fun, so even if you already play Blood Bowl (even though they have rules already) this could be fun.

Warhammer Quest: Lost Relics

New Boxed Game 3

New Boxed Game 4

A band of heroic Stormcast Eternals awaken within a mysterious labyrinth, filled with arcane treasures, devious traps, and vicious monsters. Will these four heroes (and their faithful pet bird) be able to break free, or are they doomed to fall at the hands of the mysterious Magister?

With only a few models this should be a fast way to get someone into the idea of AoS.

Combat Arena: Clash of Champions

New Boxed Game 5

New Boxed Game 6

Combat Arena is back, in a whole new incarnation that pits four mighty warriors of the 41st Millennium against each other in brutal combat. Trapped in an inescapable vault by the mad Necron Overlord, Trazyn the Infinite, two to four players must duke it out to earn their chance at freedom.

As we said, these are geared to getting new people into the game but still could be fun for veteran players.

Are you excited about the boxes? Will you pick any of them up?
