There is more than two new codex books on the way in August from Games Workshop. From Primaris to AoS and even Death Guard come find out what may be next.
We’re into week II or wave 2 for the new Space Marine releases, but we still know there is more out there coming from games workshop in their big mid month preview that will tease what didn’t make it into the White Dwaf Magazine.
Here’s our ideas on what will drop, and when based on previous releases cycles.
The current wave of releases for the Space Marines that have arrived already.

So what’s next for August? Could be more Space Marines and Age of Sigmar
August 19th
Next could be the release of the new General’s Handbook for Age of Sigmar. This has been a much anticipated supplement among the AoS fans, and the time surely is nigh for with the Path to Glory book already hitting the shelves his week.
Will it arrive on August 19 the week after the new 40k codex books?
But would Games Workshop drop the GHB 2017 with no other product to go with it? Chances are we’ll see more Age of Sigmar that week as well. Maybe we’ll get some new “allies” box set bundles?You make the call there.
August 26th
This week is a little bit more dicey as it could be filled with a wave two bundle set release of GHB allies or small bundle boxes or perhaps we’ll see the launch of Shadespire finally.
There is of course a chance that the second half of the month will see the start of the Death Guard release However with 6 of the promised 10 codex books PLUS the Chapter Approved book due to arrive “by Christmas” that many supplements releasing that close, looks increasingly far fetched perhaps?Will we see the new Death Guard models on or around Labor Day weekend? Will it be a three week release window just like we saw with the Primaris marines?
The release of the General’s Handbook could take us right into the release of the new Death Guard models, and Codex If our hunch is right, that’ll put us right at a Labor Day release window.
But once again, this is all speculation and educated guesses bases on personal observations of the last 17 years of retail cycles by Games Workshop.
