red planet wal

Check out this Krieg army that was spotted defending a red planet with some blue metallic Space Marines that are not from Ultramar!

LVO 2019 brought in players from all around the world and challenged hobbyists to bring their “flagship” armies up to the next level. Check out one of the many armies we saw turning heads at the event.

Krieg on a Red Planet: LVO Armies On Parade

We move fast taking pictures when we’re guests at tournaments helping to cover the event for them. If this is your army and you would like the full-size images or credit added to the article, just email us: support@spikeybits.com

The Death Korps of Krieg were spotted at the LVO making most of the cover available on a red planet. Check these guys out fighting on a display board where the Mechanicum should feel right at home.

Kriegsman had all the detail you could imagine. Although these are T3 models, each one had some red dust spatted onto their cloaks, individual shoulder IDs, and even the smallest metal rings painted around their gas mask. This hobbyist definitely took pride in his work.

As a centerpiece model to the army, this knight-killing behemoth had all the details to bear as the rest of the army if not more. From the red dust staining on the armor’s rim to the grease stains from each individual rivet, this Baneblade is a BEAST.

But wait! It looks like the Alpha Legion infiltrated their ranks and nobody’s even noticed yet. Using the Primaris Aggressor models, they’ve been refitted with Warp-twisted weapons.

Of course, Alpharius had to show up to play too, right? While he may not be officially in 40k, this hobby maniac converted his own off of Robbie G’s body. It would really suck to be on the receiving end of a double-barreled Primarch Plasma Pistol.

Oh, and to keep things Kriegy, they didn’t forget to pack a little bit of danger-close artillery.

red planet 7

This army did a fantastic job at going above and beyond on all of the smallest details. The red display board and basing really make the army-wide blue drab pop. Do you play a similar Krieg list?
