Nurgle’s forces are naturally slow and tough. The Leviathan Dreadnought is right up the god of rot’s alley! Check out this amazing Death Guard list.
The 2019 Las Vegas Open was another massive event for Wargaming that pulled people in from all across the globe. Of course, when you have that many players there, you’re bound to see jaw-dropping armies.
Jumping into this army showcase, we’ve got Death Guard marching down the field!
Leviathans of Nurgle: LVO Armies on Parade
Its Butcher cannons galore in this Death Guard army! Butcher cannons don’t have the best range, so what does Death Guard take to help reach out and touch the enemy? three Plagueburst Crawlers, of course!
Enemy morale was a thing of the past with three butcher cannons showing up. You have to have a little bit of CP for these guys to work right, so some human meatshields (Cultists) joined the ranks.
Nurgle has some colorful taste when it comes to blessing these Leviathans. The Nurglings on top of the walker are just keeping an eye out for enemies that might come from behind. Field of vision in a Leviathan is pretty bad…
This army does a fantastic job at making “dirty” models look so pretty! It’s no doubt that Nurgle has had his hands on these guys for a while. But it doesn’t look like someone just spilled their paint on the models (which is something you see pretty often in Nurgle forces). The finer details were given thought with the purple boils appearing on the armor plating as well as mud getting caked into the tracks.
Congrats to Long War Doubles LVO 2019 Winners, Favored of Chaos: Matt Posey (Left), and Michael Kriegler (Right). Matt donated a prize from his own Seventh Forge Studio for our event as well. So be sure to hit him up if you’re looking for a commission!
This army did Nurgle proud and brought the head with some of the best firepower Space Marines have to offer. Great job making this army stand out on the tables!
