New 40k Orks Rules for Makari REVEALED

makari ork walThe new rules were spotted for Ghazghkull’s Makari too! For a Grot, he’s got some really surprising stats. Check out the latest on this little Greenskin.

First Ghazghkull, and now the rules for Makari have been spotted as well.

When Warhammer Community pulled the curtain back on Makari’s new rules we knew he was officially the toughest Grot you’ll ever meet.  Heck, he’s even tougher than most Orks. So without any more delay, let’s take a look at the Grot you never want to cross.

GW Reveals New 40k Ork Rules for Makari!

Ghazghkull Thraka makari

makari statline 1Being a Grot, he’s got a pretty surprising statline, to begin with. At 4 wounds and a 4+ BS/WS, that’s really more than what we expected. But the rules don’t stop there. He actually gets really silly.

makari suspiciously luckyOn-par with the Dark Eldar Archons, Makari has an incredible 2++ invuln save. (let’s not forget that Imperial Fists had a way to give models a 2++ invlun which was FAQ’d to a max of 3++). Being that Makari is a single model, that probably won’t happen. But goodness, that’s incredible on a little Grot.

makari stabbaKeeping the power train rolling, Makari only gets two attacks base, but his stabba does D3 mortal wounds on a roll of a 6+. And seeing that he’s S3, he’s wounding most bigger things on a 6+ anyway.

ghazghkull teaserIt’s important to note that we don’t know how much he’ll cost but it looks like we know he’ll be able to move apart from The Beast. But if he can and isn’t too expensive, he could be a major speed bump for certain lists.

Spotted on Facebook, it looks like the squig is out of the bag for the full Makari rules!

Seeing that he’s a small Gretchin model, you could easily fit him behind most walls/cover (the banner might be tricky but it’s hard to tell for sure how big the whole model will really be). When you add in that 2++ invlun with a nearly-untargetable character, he could sit on an objective by himself and shrug off blows from Primaris units trying to beat him off of the objective in melee.

This is some Nurgling-level peskiness we’re talking about y’all.  So far things are looking great for the new Makari 40k Ork Rules

What are your thoughts on Makari’s rules? Is he just going to be a big meme? Or will he actually have some surprisingly useful stats for the Ork faction to utilize?
