Piety & Pain Warhammer 40k Value: What is it Worth?

value-piety-and-painThe new Piety and Pain Warhammer 40k box has a ton of cool minis in it, but what kind of value do you get from buying this box?

The new box set will feature the Dark Eldar versus the Sisters of Battle and if you want to see the whole release, you can check it out here. Whether you’re looking to start either of these armies or just expand your existing collection, these are usually good value for the money.

With the pricing for this finally confirmed and the Dark Eldar codex on pre-order, we wanted to look back at the value inside.

And hopefully, with the release schedule being delayed, there will be plenty of these to grab. Just watch out, these are going to be highly allocated. So if you find one, and it has value to you, don’t hesitate to buy it.

Anyways… back to the value. Let’s check it out!

Piety & Pain Warhammer 40k Box $170

The box contains a total of 24 minis (and 2 Cherubs), with a vehicle and character for both sides.  Let’s start with the Dark Eldar value then go to the Sisters.

piety and pain contents

Dark Eldar:

  • 10 Wyches $36
  • 5 Scourges $34
  • Venom $36
  • Lelith Hespirex $40 (Based on Drazhar)

Total Drukhari MSRP: $146

Sisters of Battle:

  • Retributor Squad $55
  • Palantine $35 (Based on other Sisters Characters)
  • Immolator $75

Total Sisters MSRP: $165

Total MSRP of the Box: $311

Value: $141

If you split this box with someone you’ll be paying something like $85 each and getting about $70 in value. Not bad if you need all the minis! The Sisters get a little more value in terms of dollars, but this right now looks like the only way to grab Lelith.

Overall not a bad deal, and when you pair the Drukhari with their new Combat Patrol box, you have a decent little force.

Will you be picking this up? Do you think the box is worth it?
