Nemesis Warbringer Titan Lore – Battlefield Role

While the Nemesis isn’t as common as the Reaver or Warlord, it still plays an integral role in the armies of the Imperium. It is designed to utterly obliterate the biggest targets of the enemy from long range with its insane firepower. When the enemy is spotted with tons of armor, or Titans themselves, is when you’ll see the Nemesis shine.

It is part of the Warbringer class of Titan, which is used in many different Titan Legions throughout the imperium. While there are many subsects of the Warbringer class, the Nemesis is the most common. It has some of the heaviest weaponry mounted on it in all of the Imperium. Making it the perfect tool as fire support for the closer range titans, hopefully taking out all the enemy’s heavy hitters before they can do any damage.

Just because it has insanely long-range does not mean it isn’t deployed to the front lines every now and then. When the battle needs all the weapons firing, this will be deployed in line with the other Titans. It’s reinforced front hull and defense batteries keep it relatively well protected from frontal and aerial attacks. Its rear armor is lacking, however, so a well-placed maneuver can be the end for this machine of destruction.

Restless Spirit

Among all of the Titans, the Nemesis is known for having the most restless Machine Spirits inside it. The constant aggravation keeps its Princeps and Moderati at almost impossible levels of awareness and action. The artifacts are so revered on the Titan that it is one of the highest honors to crew such a machine. The reverence amongst the crew to such great machinery is not without cause, however. It is almost commonplace for a Nemesis to lock onto incoming targets before the crew is even aware of their presence.

Old unknown tech may be awesome, but it requires tireless work by all the Tech-Adepts assigned to it. The Nemesis also shares little in the way of design with the other Titans. Meaning working on this is unlike any other and can take years and years to even begin to understand the functionality.

Coming Into its Own

The Great Crusade is when this really became known as a weapon of destruction. The Imperium used it to destroy all Titan sizes Xenos vehicles and almost nothing could stand against its massive firepower. It proved even more effective in the Horus Heresy. It was perfect at destroying Chaos Titans and was deployed to almost every battlezone. When this was on the battlefield, all the poor heretical Titans were hitting the dirt!

That does it for the background on these bad boys! They are super cool looking and fun. Hard to beat that!
