Dicehammer Open 40k GT VIII top 8

1st Place: Kennith Onyeabor – Tyranids Army Lists

There’s nothing quite like watching a Tyranid horde sweep across the battlefield, and at the Dicehammer Open VIII, Kennith’s swarm of nightmares reminded everyone why the Great Devourer is a force to be feared. The list didn’t just bring the heat—it brought the biomass-hungry behemoths that define Tyranid supremacy.

Kennith Onyeabor 1

At the forefront was Old One Eye, a regenerating wrecking ball of claws and rage. This ancient Carnifex legend is a nightmare in melee and just keeps coming back for more. Supporting the monstrous onslaught, a Biovore provided some much-needed mortal wound output, keeping enemy units from getting too comfortable.

Speaking of heavy hitters, three Exocrines made sure the opposition had plenty to worry about. Their bio-plasmic cannons melted through anything that didn’t scurry out of the way fast enough. For a more surgical approach, a Lictor slipped into the mix, offering a sneaky character that could strike from the shadows without drawing too much attention.

Adding even more resilience, a Maleceptor joined the fray, bringing thick armor plating and a presence that refused to go down easily.

Kennith Onyeabor 2

Two Norn Emissaries ensured that no objective or enemy unit was safe, marking priority targets and giving the swarm a strategic edge from the very start of the game.

Rounding out the force, two Tyrannofexes lumbered onto the field, proving that durability and firepower aren’t mutually exclusive. These massive brutes shrugged off attacks by reducing one damage source to zero each turn, ensuring they could keep firing their bio-weapons until there was nothing left to shoot at.

Final Thoughts on Army Lists: Dicehammer Open VIII

Kennith’s Tyranids proved that raw aggression and monstrous resilience can still dominate the battlefield. The Hive Mind’s will was clear—consume everything, leave nothing behind, and remind the galaxy why it should fear the swarm.

In the end, the Dicehammer Open VIII can remind us all why we love Warhammer 40k—epic battles, cunning strategies, and the thrill of witnessing a Tyranid horde crashing down upon the competition. Kennith’s terrifying swarm not only chewed through the opposition but also slapped a big ol’ “Tyranids rule!” sticker on the scoreboard.

As for Jeff’s Orks and Daniel’s Death Guard army lists, they had their moments of glory, proving that even if you’re not taking home the top prize, it’s all about the fun (and maybe a little chaos).

So, whether you’re planning your own next big tournament or just looking to spice up your games at home, take a page from these winners and remember: every unit counts, and sometimes, all you need is a good plan and a whole lot of teeth (or claws).
