Tons of new Craftworld Aeldari (Eldar) miniatures are swooping into 10th Edition Warhammer 40k, including Phoenix Lords models, Aspect Warriors, and codex rules!
Updated January 21st, 2024, by Rob Baer- for the pricing, release dates, and links to order your own Aeldari models, please see our weekly pre-order article here.
The galaxy is in shambles, and the Aeldari are far from sitting this one out. Their ancient champions are stepping out of the mists of legend (and decades-old sculpts) with new miniatures and codex rules that combine cutting-edge design with the kind of Aeldari gravitas that only millennia of interstellar warfare can bring.
Here is everything on the way for the Aeldari revamp (but don’t worry, we’ll go more in-depth on each unit below)!
- Fuegan
- Fire Dragons
- Asurmen
- Baharroth
- Swooping Hawks
- Lhykis
- Warp Spiders
- Codex: Aeldari
Whether you’re a die-hard Warhammer 40k Aeldari fan or just here to see what all the elegant space elf fuss is about (and how strong the new Phoenix Lords and Aspect Warriors will be), this latest wave of updates has something for everyone.
New Aeldari Miniatures and Codex Updates for Warhammer 40k 10th Edition
With these Craftworld Eldar model new additions, the Aeldari are bringing a fresh mix of speed, precision, and raw power to the battlefield. Whether you’re looking to expand your forces or start a new collection, there’s no shortage of elegant destruction on the horizon.
Fire Dragons & Fuegan Burn Their Way In
Leading the charge is Fuegan (who we saw already), the blazing heart of the Aeldari Aspect Warriors, known as the Fire Dragons. With his legendary firepike now sculpted in dazzling new plastic, Fuegan looks ready to incinerate everything from heretical tanks to pesky grot swarms.
His disciples, the Fire Dragons, have followed suit with revamped models that bring their fiery arsenal to the forefront. And yes, you can now go helmetless for those moments when you want to give the enemy a good, hard glare before they’re vaporized.
For a bit of flair, the Fire Dragon Exarch can now wield a fire axe and fusion pistol combo, which is as functional as it is theatrical. Imagine Fuegan calling the Phoenix Lords together for the Rhana Dandra while his Exarchs show off their weaponry like it’s a war-torn Aeldari fashion show.
When are the new Eldar models coming out?
Mark your calendars—early February 2025 is when the Aeldari are swooping in with their shiny new models. Get ready to add some serious style (and firepower) to your army, and see all the releases you can order here!
Asurmen: Protector, Pioneer, Perfectionist
Asurmen, the first Aeldari Phoenix Lord, has arrived looking more majestic than ever. The new miniature captures the gravitas of this ancient warrior while showing off the cutting-edge design that only millennia of practice can bring.
Armed with his iconic diresword—a weapon imbued with the spirit of his slain brother—Asurmen isn’t just a warrior; he’s an embodiment of the Aeldari’s will to survive against impossible odds.
The stories of his countless battles, from demon-cleansing rampages to spearheading impossible victories, aren’t just myth—they’re the heartbeat of Aeldari resilience. Asurmen’s presence on any battlefield elevates it to something mythic, turning every skirmish into a clash worthy of song.
When was the Last Time Eldar Got New Models?
Before this big refresh, the last time the Aeldari models got some love was back in 9th Edition with a few new Aspect Warriors. So yeah, it’s been a minute, but hey—good things come to those who wait… and wait… and wait
Baharroth & Swooping Hawks: Swift Justice from the Skies
The most graceful Phoenix Lord, Baharroth, soars onto the battlefield with his updated miniature that screams “precision and power.” Known as the fastest of the Phoenix Lords, Baharroth pairs speed with deadly efficiency, cutting through foes with his blade and devastating lasblasts. His wings, crafted with ornate detail, give the impression he’s moments away from striking.
Baharroth’s disciples, the Swooping Hawks, have also been given a much-needed upgrade. The Exarch now has access to an array of tools, including a hawk’s talon and scatter laser, ensuring there’s no angle the enemy can hide from.
Whether striking from the clouds or dancing across the battlefield, the Hawks are here to remind everyone that death can be beautiful. In Warhammer 40k, these Eldar Aspect Warriors will have four shot strength and four weapons, and they can drop grenades on units they pass over (not bad for such amazing models).
Lhykis Warp Siders Phoenix Lord Are a Mystery No More
The Warp Spiders finally have their enigmatic leader revealed in the form of Lhykis, a Phoenix Lord unlike any other. Draped in an intricate suit of armour that boasts four extra arms—because why not?—she leaps into combat with the flair of someone who’s spent eons perfecting her craft.
Her weapons, from dual death spinners to monofilament claws, are a study in lethality, but it’s her sword, Weaverender, that steals the show. This reality-slicing blade doesn’t just cut enemies—it rewrites their existence.
For rules, the Warp Spiders can move 24″ in a single turn, and all have flamers. However, there is some danger to the squad when they do it (we guess on 1’s you might take mortal wounds), and they cannot charge when they do this… unless Lhykis is in the unit!
Then they can make the 24″ move and charge! When combined with the flamers and the fact the exarch can get ten attacks, they might be able to take out two units on turn 1!
Lhykis is the daredevil of the Phoenix Lords, leaping into the Warp and navigating its chaotic tides with a calmness that belies the terror it inspires. Her Warp Spiders, too, have been reinvented.
Their Exarch now wields a four-bladed monstrosity that looks as dangerous as it sounds. Together, they bring the webway’s chaotic energy to life, reminding all who oppose them why the Aeldari are masters of guerrilla warfare.
Warhammer 40k Eldar Codex, Charting the 10th Edition Stars
Accompanying this wave of reinforcements is the latest Codex: Aeldari, a tome that lays bare the tragedy, glory, and stubborn determination of a culture fighting to preserve its legacy. This time, the book introduces eight Detachments, each representing a unique aspect of Aeldari warcraft.
- The Warhost is your all-rounder, a balanced force that blends psychic might, Aspect Warriors, and the indomitable Avatar of Khaine.
- The Seer Council leans heavily into psychic dominance, overwhelming enemies with mind-bending sorcery.
- The Windrider Host caters to the speed demons among you, unleashing jetbikes in dazzling displays of hit-and-run carnage.
- The Harlequins’ Ghosts of the Webway are perfect for fans of intricate trickery, dancing circles around their foes.
- The Devoted of Ynnead bring the strange and eerie might of the Ynnari to the forefront, merging death and rebirth into a force of nature.
- The Aspect Host offers a pure, glorious focus on the Aeldari’s elite warriors, throwing them into the fray under the watchful gaze of the Avatar.
Each Detachment offers a distinct way to craft your army, weaving lore and gameplay into an irresistible tapestry. The galaxy may be crumbling, but the Aeldari refuse to fade away without making their enemies remember them for all eternity.
When Will Eldar Get New 40k Models Again?
With this update covering nearly every Aspect Warrior under the twin suns, it’s safe to say the Aeldari are sitting pretty for now. After this?
Supposedly, GW forgot to make Karandras, but he will eventually get a new model as well. From there, all that may be left is a new combat patrol box, so enjoy the new goodies while they last!
