RUMORS: Call of Duty + Warhammer 40k Video Game Collab

Chaos-rumors-title-hor-wal-1280-site-warhammer-40k-games-workshop1This is cool; a new leak from the Call of Duty video game franchise Modern Warfare 3 suggests a collaboration with Warhammer 40k.

Dataminers have uncovered details on returning maps and artwork that suggest a collaboration with Games Workshop. Initially uncovered by famed leaker Semtex, the artwork features the Dark Angels chapter of Space Marines and the Sisters of Battle, along with two new Operators, Boreas, an Interrogator Chaplain of the Dark Angels, and the Sister of Battle Helewise.

RUMORS: Call of Duty + Warhammer 40k Video Game Collab

In recent years, the Call of Duty franchise has enthusiastically embraced collaborations. From partnering with TV shows like The Boys to featuring chart-topping rappers like Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg, they have undoubtedly reshaped the aesthetic and vibe of one of the world’s most beloved FPS series.

It’s unclear what shape this collaboration will take, but it’s possible that there could be playable content like playlists or map changes. I would love to see the addition of the Bolter as a weapon, but that might throw off the game’s balance a smidge, as it is essentially a grenade launcher with a magazine capacity.

The Call of Duty franchise has indeed been collaborating quite a bit lately. They seem to be branching out beyond just the gaming world and incorporating more pop culture elements. It’s interesting to see how they’re trying to stay relevant and appeal to a broader audience.

What do you think about a possible Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warhammer 40k Video Game Collab?
