Check out how far Games Workshop has come in as Squidmar takes a look back at some of the ugliest miniatures in Warhammer history!
Squidmar’s channel is rapidly growing due to his great tutorials ranging from full-scale models to hot tips; even practical physics! This time around he slows down the pace and takes a minute take a step back and look at what may be the ugliest miniatures in Warhammer history.
The Ugliest Miniatures in Warhammer History
First up is Ariel queen of the wood elves back in the ’90s. So many things don’t work on this model. The hair, the face, the hands, the wings. Sure old models have some nostalgia, but his model was not the best.
There are quite a few bad looking classic Tyranids, but one of the worst has to be the old Patriarch. His hands and face and awful, and those body textures arent great either, why is his tongue sticking out?? Luckily new Tyranids models are much better than where they started.
Next up from Rogue Trader 40k we got possibly one of the ugliest robots ever seen. The first Dreadnought models were definitely lacking, but at least they are better than the original cardboard cutouts for machinery.
There were two Female space marine releases back in the day and both were horrendous. For their day they tried on both Jayne and Gabs, but both could have been a little better, to say the least.
Against his feelings, he also put Nagash on the list. Squidmar said he actually really likes the old Nagash, but by popular demand, he is also on the list!
Another not so great model is the Sisters of battle Dialogues. This mini really shows us how much a horrible face can ruin an otherwise ok model.
Lastly is the old-school tree lord. Not only are all the proportions out of wack, but the limbs look stiffer than a tree than cant get up and walk. The new tree lords have for sure really come a long way!
That’s it, be sure to watch the full video below to see all of the honorable mentions and even a unique cosplay as well!
