The Drukhari codex contains 128-pages full of lore and rules and they are looking quite good. The layout is well done and you will find it quite easy to navigate. Starting off, something to take note of is the Power From the Pain and Combat Drugs abilities. Power From Pain abilities kick in at the start of your battle round and are cumulative. Your Combat Drugs are rolled for before the battle begins. These abilities are keyworded so be sure to check what applies.
Combat Drugs are manipulatable and you are going to want to put some of the weaker Combat Drugs on non-vital units and save your heavy hitting ones for your heavy hitters. An example of this is giving a Wych Cult unit the +1 Attack characteristic buff. There is even a relic which allows a Succubus to have a 2nd Combat Drug bonus. Knowing how to maximize your Combat Drugs is one of the keys to making the most of your Drukhari list.
There are several assault/deployment shenanigans in this codex that you can use to get in close to your opponent on turn one. For example, you have Webway Portal and Screaming Jets stratagems. They cannot be used together and are used during deployment. They each have their own unique advantages. Screaming Jets can be used on a vehicle/transport with the Fly keyword. Embarked troops remain so when setting up in the sky as well. You can then deep strike them in any of your Movement phases. Webway Portal allows you to set up a max of two units of Infantry, Bikers, or beasts. They can be placed at the end of any of your Movement phases.
You can couple the deep strike with the Eager to Flay Power of Pain which has you re-roll Advances or charges. So drop in models 9″ away and then ensure that the get into enemy’s face by re-rolling their charges. There is even a way to negate Overwatch with some units and a stratagem that increases the Advance distance of a Raider/Ravager that is already on the board. You can have all of this setup and ready to pop off turn one.
