Two new Warhammer 40k Blood Angels characters are here as GW unveils the Sanguinary Priests and Captains to lead your armies to victory!
The galaxy’s heretics felt a shiver when the new Codex Supplement: Blood Angels was announced alongside an army launch box featuring the frenzied Death Company Marines. However, it looks like that is just the tip of the iceberg, as plenty more is on the way. If you aren’t a Death Company fan, this is the first release really made just for you! GW promised more Blood Angels, and it seems like they are delivering.
Two New 40k Blood Angels Characters Revealed: The Heroes of Baal Ascend
With the new codex confirmed and plenty of GW hints at more models, we can hope this is just the beginning! While the new Death Company army box will be all the rage for a while, you’ll need new reinforcements to help keep the heretics at bay. They also mention that these two characters will be released alongside other new minis, so fingers crossed the reveals keep coming.
New Sanguinary Priest
Every Space Marine Chapter employs Apothecaries to treat wounds and recover gene-seed, but the Blood Angels’ Sanguinary Priests hold an additional, crucial responsibility – managing the Red Thirst that plagues all Sons of Sanguinius. This intense bloodthirst is a source of shame, controlled through ancient rituals known only to the Sanguinary Priests until it is unleashed in the heat of battle.
It looks like there will be at least three head options for the Priest and some weapon options!
New Blood Angels Captain
When this madness is restrained, the Blood Angels are paragons of nobility and dignity. The Captains leading the companies of Baal exemplify the Emperor’s finest, blending remarkable combat skills with a regal presence that commands respect from planetary governors. Their new miniatures capture this duality perfectly, showcasing their cultivated virtues and readiness for war.
The Captain’s model features intricately sculpted armor reminiscent of Commander Dante’s, with customizable options including an inferno pistol, relic blade, chainsword, or power fist. The kit also provides two-arm poses, allowing you to display your Captain in a battle-ready or more relaxed stance. Additionally, a variety of heads, pauldron decorations, and accessories are included to personalize your hero.
