Fulgrim was the poor target of Daemonic influence. With him being a Daemon Primarch now, check out what his rules could be if they appeared in 40k.
In 40k, Fulgrim doesn’t have a model but he’s definitely alive and (probably) partying it up on his pleasure world. But if he did come back to 40k with a model, here’s what his rules might look like. We’ll be going off of his Heresy rules with a mix of Daemon spice (since he’s guaranteed a giant Daemon Primarch now).
What Fulgrim’s Rules Might Look Like If He Came to 40k
By now, Fulgrim is a chonky angery Primarch that’s been deemed as Slaanesh’s personal champion. So before we even jump into his stats, his base data sheet would look something more like Mortarion or Magnus over Robert, the G. That being said, maybe it would look like:
M12 WS 2+ BS 2+ S7 T7 W18 A 9 (degrading) Ld 10 Sv 3+/4++
Varying a little different from Magnus and Mortarion, we feel like his Strength might be just a bit lower than his brothers. However, he would get two more attacks with two different profiles. Assuming he’s got four arms like the picture above, he could add 2D3 more attacks to his swings if he wanted to slap the enemy around with his hands.
For that profile, we might see something like S: user Ap-1 D 2 (However, that would be 9 + 2D3 attacks).
If he wanted to use his sword, which would probably be the Blade of Laer over the Firebrand, it would be: S +2 AP-4 D 3
Fulgrim’s Special Rules & Wargear
Getting nine attacks at S9 doing 3 damage a pop could plink wounds off of armor real quick and make any kind of other Primarch nervous in melee. And as far as other special rules and wargear go, we’d probably see something like:
Quicksilver Lynchpin: Fulgrim always fights first irrespective of who charged first. (Basically, the classic Slaanesh rule scaled up).
Sublime Swordsman: Fulgrim adds +1 to his invulnerable save in combat (for his mad parrying skillz).
Lord of the Emperor’s Children: Emperor’s Children can reroll hits and wounds of 1 within 6″- pretty standard there.
And perhaps for his fancy Daemonized Gilded Panoply, enemy units attacking him in melee have to subtract 1 from their attacks characteristics.
By now, it might sound like Fulgrim is a melee monster, and rightfully so. He was obsessed with swordsmanship while he had his two legs fighting for the Emperor. But that just means that his Achilles heel would be the shooting phase. You’d just have to blast him before he made contact.
Overall, these stats might not be too far fetched of an idea. We’ve been seeing rumors of Fulgrim come in spurts for almost a year now.
Keep your eyes peeled to see which Primarch could be coming back to 40k next!
