Free 10th Edition 40k Combat Patrol Missions & Rules Downloads

combat-patrols-10th-Edition-rulesGW had already released the datasheets, but here are all the free Combat Patrol missions and rules for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k.

This is a totally new game mode for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k, where hobbyists can just pick up a single Combat Patrol and play against other people with just the box. This should hopefully help newer players get into the game easier or just let you try out a new faction without spending a ton of cash.

If you want to download all the faction datasheets, you can here.

It’s nice GW is actually releasing all the 10th Edition Warhammer Combat Patrol rules for free, as it’s all about making smaller games easier to play!

However, before we jump into the rules, if you want to see all the values inside the boxes (how much money you save in each CP), you can check that out here!

Combat Patrol Missions 2

Once you’ve downloaded them, all you need to play is a Combat Patrol for each player, a 44” x 30” battlefield – that’s a pair of gaming boards laid side-by-side – and a little stack of terrain to give your Patrols some cover to fight around.

The rules are quite similar, but obviously, you’re playing on a smaller board; however, securing objective markers must be done by Battleline units in Combat Patrol. Now, let’s check out some of the missions.

Combat Patrol Missions 3This is a pretty classic setup with all the objectives in no man’s land, meaning you have to get into the thick of it to secure the points!

Combat Patrol Missions 4With the smaller battlefield, you won’t have a ton of room to deploy, but this adds a nice wrinkle to the game with objective markers disappearing.

Combat Patrol Missions 5This mission rule is interesting, and if you can deep strike a unit into the backline and get the objective marker, your opponent will not get re-rolls.

Combat Patrol Missions 6This is an alpha strike style game, as you can move forward quickly, and start razing objectives for a ton of points, then your opponent cannot capture them.

Combat Patrol Missions 7Gaining Command Points is always a good thing! So be sure to control that home objective for free CP.

Combat Patrol Missions 8Last but not least, for now, this is all about getting your characters to objectives and positioning your warlord correctly!
