Core Detachment Rules – Righteous Purpose

In your Command phase, discard up to 3 Miracle dice to make units Righteous.

  • Righteous units gain:
      • +1” Move.
      • +1 Leadership.
      • +1 Weapon Skill and Ballistic Skill for Battle Sisters, Celestian Sacresants, and Paragon Warsuits.

This rule makes your units faster, deadlier, and more resilient, letting you tailor buffs to the situation. Imagine boosting a Celestian Sacresants squad to hold a critical objective while enhancing a Paragon Warsuit team to hit hard in melee.

The versatility of choosing which units to buff keeps your opponent guessing and ensures you can adapt to every phase of the battle. It’s like handing out Emperor-approved cheat codes mid-game.

Enhancements – Holy Tools for Righteous Warriors

  • Triptych of Judgement (15 pts): Ignore modifiers to Ballistic/Weapon Skill or Hit rolls for the bearer’s unit. Great for precision shooting or melee reliability.
  • Mark of Devotion (30 pts): Adds +2 Attacks and +1 Damage to the bearer’s melee weapons if they’re Righteous.
  • Eyes of the Oracle (10 pts): Grants Precision to the bearer’s weapons and awards 1 CP for killing enemy Characters.
  • Sanctified Amulet (25 pts): Prevents enemy units from deploying from Reserves within 12″.

These upgrades for the new Adepta Sororitas Champions of Faith 40k detachment rules amplify either offensive output or tactical control. For instance, equipping a Paragon Warsuit Superior with the Mark of Devotion transforms her into a melee wrecking ball, while the Sanctified Amulet ensures no sneaky deep strikes ruin your plans.

Combining Eyes of the Oracle with a Celestian Sacresant squad lets you hunt Characters effectively while stacking CP for late-game Stratagems.

  • Shield of Denial (1 CP): Grants Feel No Pain 6+ against mortal wounds (5+ if Righteous).
  • Suffer Not the Unfaithful (1 CP): Grants Lethal Hits or Sustained Hits 1 to a Righteous unit for extra damage.
  • To the Heart of Heresy (1 CP): Increases melee weapon Strength by 1 (and AP by 1 if Righteous).
  • Path of the Righteous (1 CP): Allows 6” Pile-ins and Consolidations. Righteous units can move freely without needing to end closer to enemies.
  • Bastion of Faith (1 CP): Subtracts 1 from enemy Hit rolls targeting a Celestian Sacresants unit (and another nearby unit within 6” if Righteous).
  • Indefatigable Dedication (1 CP): Allows a unit to shoot after Falling Back (and charge if Righteous).

These Stratagems add layers of flexibility and lethality to your Adepta Sororitas Detachment. To the Heart of Heresy is perfect for turning a Celestian Sacresants squad into an unstoppable melee hammer, while Indefatigable Dedication keeps your units active even in retreat.

For extra fun, try combining Bastion of Faith and Path of the Righteous to create an unyielding wall of faith that’s nearly impossible for your opponent to break.
