The first of several planned trailers is the first solid look at what we can expect to see in The Last Jedi! Come take a peak!
The trailer, which was revealed at a panel during the Star Wars Celebration Orlando, gives us a better look at the themes that will dominate this eighth installment in the Star Wars main franchise. The trailer centers on the Rey as she explores her abilities and begins to learn what she is truly capable of. There is also the balance of light and darkness playing through out the trailer while a conversation between Rey and Luke Skywalker plays out in the background. The final sentence from Skywalker is … well, you will have to see for yourself.
Comments from director Rian Johnson and actor Adam Driver give slightly more insight into the film with Johnson, in an earlier interview, stating that he wanted the film to feel more like an original trilogy film and added that there will be a bit more comedic moments in the film. Driver, in an interview with Collider, stated that The Last Jedi will feel like The Empire Strikes Back. Maybe not as dark, but they share elements.
