We saw a ton of rumors with rules from the upcoming Dark Angels codex recently. But were they just fan-made wishes? One site is claiming that’s the case.
Faeit is at it again, claiming their “sources” are stating that the recent Dark Angels and Lion El’ Johnson rumor is completely false. Grab your salt shakers and tin foil hats, and see what they had to say now. Salt? Yeah, bring plenty of it!
There were some rumors that came out of Facebook’s Inner Circle over the weekend, and I have been told by multiple credible and reliable sources that these are just not real. With that said, there are a few tidbits of additional rumors, that even though they come from someone reliable, he is asking for salt.
Here is a little rumor to start it off. Please don’t forget the salt on this one. There are good hints of Fulgrim coming, but even then.
Rumors from Sources on Faeit 212
I saw a load of bogus rumours that had been sent in about the Dark Angels on your site today, and thought I’d clear things up from what I’ve heard from a VERY reliable source:
The next Primarch will not be the Lion, the next slated Primarchs in the works are Leman Russ and Fulgrim.
My source had previously told me about Mortarian way before he was announced, but I couldn’t verify if it was true until it was too late and the info was already out. So I wanted to wait and see if the rumours were true about a Space Wolf codex in December alongside BA and DA (which would disprove the Russ rumour). Doesn’t look like Wolves are coming in December now… so make of this what you will.
And now New “Rumors”
Here is a bit of a follow up, and looking ahead at the future primarchs..
Take with a pinch of salt obviously as I can’t be 100% sure, but from tidbits I’ve heard it does line up with Wolves not getting a pre-Xmas release so that they can get a big release next year (Fenris being right on the Cicatrix Maledictum might be relevant for some upcoming fluff), then Slaanesh getting some love Q3/4 (following from the Khorne release a couple of years back, Tzeentch last year and Nurgle this year).
So, according to their sources the Lion will not be the next Primarch. Instead, it will be Leman Russ and Fulgrim, but even their “reliable” source is asking for salt on their own rumor.
Align your Tinfoil hats and grab your shakers, it’s going to be a salty ride on this one folks!
In case you missed the Dark Angels rumor this is in reference to let’s take a look at it again.
We know both the Dark Angels and the Blood Angels are on the way soon, but what will be in the books? Well it looks like the cat may be out of the bag already for one of them.
The latest rumor was spotted over on The Inner Circle‘s Facebook page and reveals a lot from the upcoming Dark Angels codex. These are just rumors, so make sure you bring your salt.
So the Codex is finally announced and a good friend of mine has given me some juicy tidbits.

All UNFORGIVEN units may Overwatch on a 5+ and will only lose one model to a failed morale test

Master of the First – If your army is battleforged, you receive an additional 3 CP if Lion El’Jonson is your Warlord.
Armour of the Order – Lion El’Jonson has a 3+ invulnerable save. In addition all UNFORGIVEN units within 8” receive an 5+ Invulnerable save.
Blade Master – For every unsaved wound Lion El’Jonson causes in the fight phase he can immediately make an additional attack. This ability can only be used once per fight phase.
Master Strategist- each time a stratagem is used roll a D6 on a 4+ the CP for that stratagem is not spent
I Primarch – You can re-roll any failed hit and wound rolls for friendly UNFORGIVEN units within 6” of Lion El’Jonson
The new Dark Angels codex is going to be a game changer for Dark Angel players if this rumor is true. For 2 CP’s you’ll be able to supercharge your plasma weapons for one unit without having to worry about the mortal wound penalty for rolling 1’s, that’s really going to come in handy.
But, what about the big Lion El’ Johnson rumor. Are we seeing the stat line and rules for the next Primarch? Is the Lion making a return? He’s giving +3 CP’s by himself according to this rumor. Combine that with Master Strategist which lets you roll a D6 each time you spend a Stratagem, and on a 4+ the CP’s for that Stratagem are not lost.
