A Better Be’lakor? Lord of Malice Unbox & Build

By Juan Lopez | February 24th, 2018 | Categories: Creature Caster, Product Review, Videos

Creature Caster has released their first model of 2018 and he just might be their best model yet. Come check out the Lord of Malice!

Creature Caster specializes in two things: large models and great detail. The Lord of Malice, their latest release, is a perfect example of both. This model will fit perfectly in any Chaos force and could even be a great alternative for Be’lakor. Our very own Rob Baer received his Lord of Malice early and has it on the paint bench to give you the complete break down of the kit and what you can expect to get with your hobby dollars.

Creature Caster Lord of Malice pieces

The Lord of Malice retails for $62 and is a great deal for the level of detail and the size of the model you are getting. As with previous models from Creature Caster, you will have the 2 head and weapon variants to play with when customizing your Lord of Malice. The level of detail in this kit is just fantastic and may be one of their most detailed miniatures to date. The muscle and scale detail on the torso is on point. The wings are full of detail from the webbing down to the spines. Rob was excited to see what this model looked like assembled. He was not disappointed.

Creature Caster Lord of Malice assembled

Fully assembled, this model is a beast. Measuring 13.5cm from the bottom of the scenic base to the top of his wings, the Lord of Malice strikes a pose that is brimming with evil intent. The scenic base can be attached to a 60mm base if you are wanting to field this model on the table. The kit assembled smoothly and there were no issues. Since everything slots together quite well, painting in sections and assembling when done will be the order of the day.

Rob continues to break down the kit and provide a size comparison in the full review video below!

Lord of Malice: $62

Lord of Malice

The Lord of Malice is an oddity amongst demon kind. Even the most savage and brutal of demons feel some sort of affinity or kinship with one another, but this is not the case with the Lord of Malice. He feels no such bonds and is said to harbour a deep contempt for all existence, whether it be demonic or mortal in nature. He enjoys building empires only to turn them one against the other and smash them to dust.

A master tactician, and possessed with with a dark charisma that is nearly irresistible, the Lord of Malice has no shortage of followers willing to sacrifice themselves to his dark designs. The Lord of Malice will only be truly satisfied when he stands alone as the last sentient being in all creation.

The Lord of Malice is hand cast in pure, unfilled, resin. He is designed to fit a 60mm round base and has a height of 13.5cm from bottom of his scenic base to top of his wings. Model is unassembled and unpainted. Intended for ages 14+.
