Is GW hiding more new 40k units in plain sight? Looks like it! Don’t miss even more rumors on Cult names, colors, and another vehicle may be lurking.
Spotted on Dakka Dakka from CaptainBetts, there were some GSC models with a peculiar paint job in a display case. There’s also a mysterious bit that was noticed in a snapshot of the new models.
GSC Paint Schemes to be Different Cults?
From the rumor maniac, CaptainBetts on the Genestealer Cult Discord Server:
- 1. Cult of the Four Armed Emperor (the major scheme of the Cults, you see it on all the GW store GSC, this is the scheme of the new models we’ve seen).
- 2. Cult of the Bladed Cog (told to us at the open day).
- 3. Cult of the Pauper Princes (told to us at the open day).
- 4. Yellow schemed cult
- 5. Purplish-schemed cult
- 6. We don’t know this one yet, but I’d assume it’s the Cult of the Rusted Claw, as it’s the second most common paint scheme for the GSC in the 7e codex – the vast majority of the photos depict their scheme).
While most of the stuff we gather is directly from what GW tells us and by the past Cults from the 7th edition Codex, these two Biker’s color schemes could very well be some Cult sub-factions coming to the army. These are still just rumors at the end of the day.
A Mystery Vehicle Coming to the Cult?
Spotted in the Youtube video previewed at the Warhammer New Year’s Open Day, the Cult looks like they’re riding some kind of fast open-topped buggy. Whatever it is, it definitely pays homage to the Goliath Rocktruck.
Now, notice the weapon on the top of the vehicle?
This was a recent rumor engine previewed by GW looking to be like some kind of flamer/incinerator. Could it be some sort of weapon variant for the Buggy as both seem to be pictured in the animation above?
It even has some similarities to the Heavy Incinerator on the Goliath to begin with, and could be a cheaper and less-potent alternative.
Now pull out your glasses for this next one…
Take a look just to the left of the female Magus in this GSC showcase. There’s some kind of tire on a base.
See it now?
Enhancing
Compare to the Cult ATV tread (left) and the enhanced image above (right).
The bit to the right may indeed go to a mystery vehicle. Now consider this, it appears to have matching tire tread to the Goliath. However, the Goliath doesn’t come on a base.
So putting all the pieces together, with our tin-foil hats on, we perhaps have a case for some sort of new buggy-like vehicle that may be on the way for the GSC.
