Warhammer Community has steadily been dropping Legion rules found inside the Vigilus Ablaze book. For the most part, the rules look fluffy. We aren’t sure how competitive they’ll be, but they definitely look fun!

A Word on the Emperor’s Children
There wasn’t a lot mentioned from Warhammer Community about the Emperor’s Children. Good news is that the older Noise Marine upgrade sprues are 100% compatible with the new Chaos Marine kits.
We know that the Emperor’s Children love to shoot. WHC previewed the new Havoc chaincannon to hint at the new kind of firepower they’d be getting.
The reaper chaincannon is going to be Chaos’s first choice in taking down screens. If you can get these within firing range of an Ork blob unit or a GSC Acolyte squad, you’ll have absolutely no problem turning them into swiss cheese. Don’t forget about that spicy 2CP shoot twice stratagem that the Emperor’s Children have either!
Alpha Legion & Their Chaos Cultists
As with Alpha Legion, nothing specific was previewed for them either. However, Warhammer Community did mention a new detachment for Chaos Cultists. It could definitely be a fluffy addition to your Alpha Legion.
Since the Alpha Legion do everything behind the scenes and never reveal their true plan, it would make sense that the Alpha Legion could be directly responsible for causing a Cultist uprising. In Vigilus Ablaze, you’ll be able to make a specialist detachment with your Cultists and Dark Apostles.
You’ll be able to turn your Cultist blob squads into tough beatsticks that take up a huge footprint on the table. Remember, Tide of Traitors is still a thing. But now, you can give them +1 to wound AND a 5++ Invulnerable save to a massive deepstriking Cultist unit. These guys will be in your face in no time. The weakest point of these guys is morale, but with Tide of Traitors being a real possibility, you can expect them to always be back soon! There is also a new Cultist detachment
