From Zeros To Heroes: 40k’s Four Best Inquisitors Now

female inquisitor sisters wal horFour named 40k Inquisitors just got an update in the November White Dwarf. So what is getting changed exactly? Take a look at these updates!

The Inquisition is known for its special characters. Of all the Inquisitors out there, four named ones just got an update in the November White Dwarf. Here’s the new datasheets that have been updated with points. Take a look at your favorite Inquisitors now.

inquisitor points changes

Inquisitor Greyfax Changes

Starting off with Greyfax, it looks like she didn’t have her points tweaked. However, she did get a Refractor Field which is a 5++ invuln in-game. She also dropped a single point in power level which is nice if you prefer to play games in that manner.

Inquisitor Eisenhorn Changes

Gregor Eisenhorn

For Eisenhorn, he dropped a whopping 20 pts and a single point in power level. His old Malus Codicium rule was also split in two with the Radical Bond rule on his new datasheet. However, they both combine to achieve the same level of tankiness/damage output for the Daemonhost.

Inquisitor Karamazov Changes

Karamazov dropped 35 pts (now sitting at 115) and kept his same statline. However, his stomping feet went from +2 attacks to +2D3 additional attacks! That’s way more potential damage output although this isn’t exactly the kind of character you want to throw into melee.

Half of the old Dread Reputation rule was also thrown into Iron Will now making it Supreme Will. Karamazov forces enemy Psykers within 12″ to be -1 to their psychic tests and can still ignore the effects of the powers even if they do go off. However, he also still puts out a -1 Ld bubble for the enemy as well. The wording from another rule was just swapped over.

Inquisitor Coteaz Changes

Coteaz dropped down 10 pts. He also got a nifty 5++ invuln just like Greyfax. His wargear and base statline weren’t really touched either. However, Spy Network got some reworking. This rule still lets you shoot overwatch at reinforcements being brought in. However, it also comes with a once per game guaranteed Stratagem tax. You can just choose to use this ability whenever and force your opponent to spend an additional CP. This is huge because if they aren’t paying attention and try to use the last 2CP they have on a single Stratagem, you can pop this ability to foil your opponent (because they can’t pay the additional CP).

Coteaz is definitely looking to be the best overall Inquisitor out there now for the competitive scene.

While all of these Inquisitors got better, which do you think got the biggest upgrade? Will you be bringing Inquisitors into your list?
