The next installment of Psychic Awakening rumors has been spotted, and it looks like Imperials or maybe something more Necron like is on the way soon as well.
After a few days of rumors and forums running dry with fresh morsels, it looks like some people in the community started digging deep. Among the latest was what looks to be one of the books coming inside the third wave of Psychic Awakening Books. Check out the latest on what could be ahead!
First things first, at the time of writing this, we still have yet to get our hands on The Greater Good and Saga of the Beast. And we still hardly have any clue of what will be in the latter of those books. Now with that said, GW has also explicitly said that every faction in 40k would have some kind of role to play in Psychic Awakening. It would only make sense that we keep seeing more books drop until every faction is covered.
RUMORS: The Next 40k Psychic Awakening Book Has Been Spotted!
With what looks to be a snapshot of some kind of GW product listing, this made its way to Imgur. It’s since been circulating around the web. At first glance, Psychic Awakening: Engine War obviously sounds like it’s going to have some mechanical walkers involved.
The first two obvious factions might be Admech and Knights (Imperial & Chaos). But since we haven’t seen a book with a more fitting title for Necrons, it’s a decently safe bet that they could also turn up in this book.
We’ve been seeing a couple of rumor engines and models that we’re still waiting to turn up as well…GW could be holding out until it’s this book’s turn to get the spotlight. Check these models and bits out and tell us what you think.
Early Rumor Engines & Models We Still Need to See
The Archaeopter, being one of the first models to come to mind was revealed on Warhammer Open Day back in 2019, After this brief preview, any other reports and rumors have since gone dark.
There is also this rumor engine of what looks to be a Ranger’s gun in some kind of leather scabbard. The details of the stock that we can see are an exact match to what the Skitarii carry.
As for this rumor engine, you can clearly see some kind of drive belt with e crank on the bottom. It almost looks like whoever this belongs to has to give it a good crank before it’s able to run. Almost like the lates 1800’s-early 1900’s steam cars.
And finally, this looks like some kind of reactor core vaguely similar to what we see on the back of Imperial Knights. With the cog symbol in the center of the bit, it’s safe to say this is probably also made/produced by the Admech.
