New Broken Realms rules have been spotted for all the factions involved in Book 1: Morathi, let’s check out the preview!
Today Warhammer Community just dropped a few teaser rules for the upcoming book. They include rules for Stormcast Eternals, Daughters of Khaine, Idoneth Deepkin, Slaves to Darkness, and Cities of Sigmar. Not a ton for each faction but always nice to have some new rules to look at.
Yesterday they revealed the table of contents, so who knows what else they’ll tease before the book comes out. For now, let’s jump into the rules!
Don’t forget though that this book (and bundle boxes) will most likely go for a premium day one as game stores here in the states have been severely allocated.
New Broken Realms Rules Spotted!
Broken Realms: Morathi is the first of many new additions to AoS. They seem to be serving a similar role as Psychic Awakening did for 40k, and the possibility of a new edition for Age of Sigmar, (check out the post here) in 2021 seems pretty likely at this point.
Daughters of Khaine
Not bad if you play an army full of Harpies or Melusai, but nothing too groundbreaking.
This can really give your units some extra combat effectiveness. Even though it can only be for a single unit, it’s hard to argue with extra attacks!
The first of the new warscroll battalions we’ve seen. Basically, you can kill off your own units to keep the Bloodwrack Shrine in the game. If a few units are around, you can easily get this back up to full wounds without too much effort.
Cities of Sigmar
Very similar to the Wych Cult combat drugs, but AoS style. They only show us two of the options but there will be six in total. The first one is pretty powerful for a great combat specialist.
Stormcast Eternals
Pretty cool rule to grab some cheaper auxiliaries or special units to bolster your Stormcast. They also get extra bravery when they’re near Liberator units.
Idoneth Deepkin
This is all about keeping your Akhelian King alive and buffing your units. Pretty nice little rule overall, by giving your units better hit rolls and forming a bodyguard of sorts around your King.
Slaves to Darkness
Rerolling all the attacks from a unit is pretty sweet! Just remember the unit has to be wholly within 12″ and only goes off on a 3+. Even with that, this could be really good!
That does it for the teaser rules! Some pretty fun teasers, but with how few of the new boxes are being allocated, good luck taking advantage of them!
