40k-3rd-edition-memberberries

This has been a year filled with tons of GW Memberberries from what may have been the golden age of Warhammer 40k- 3rd Edition.

Sure it’s been a little crazy this year, but that aside GW has not only come out with a bunch of new stuff but also a ton of remakes as well. Let’s take a look at some of the best revamps of the year all inspired by the age of 3rd Edition 40k!

These Were the Best GW Memberberries From This Year

Librarian Terminator Varus:

adepticon 2020 exclusive psykerThis mini was special, and Member Berries status for the fact he was one of the only non-Primaris mini released in almost three years! Can all First Born minis now be considered nostalgic?

Sister Tariana Palos:

sister of battle MTO 2This mini is based on the classic piece of Anna Steinbauer’s artwork that graced the cover of a previous Codex: Adepta Sororitas. They did a great job with this mini and it really captures the feel of the artwork.  Maybe not quite old enough, it sill has those vibes!

Ephrael Stern:

This one is 20 years in the making! When they released the 20th-anniversary special edition of the Daemonifuge graphic novel, they also came out with this one! The mini is pretty sweet and the graphic novel is great!

Warhammer Day 2020 Mini – Chaplain in Terminator Armor

They have released a lot of Chaplain Terminators throughout the years. The old one went for some serious cash on the secondary market, but this one isn’t going for quite as much… yet!

Jakkob Bugmansson XI: Brewmaster-General:

jakkob bugmansson XIThis harkens back to the brewmasters of old! When you hear the name Bugman, you know some good brew is on the horizon! You even used to be able to take units of Bugman’s Rangers, while they didn’t come back, it’s good to see the tradition continue for the Kharadron Overlords.

Uriel Ventris:

Ventris is a character who has a lot more presence and back story than even some of the arguably more important characters. He has had books on him for nearly 20 years! There are even callbacks and evidence on his model. That rose on his shoulder? He earned that in the 2002 novel Nightbringer. They even gave him a new Primaris body for his upcoming release.

Gorzag & Nikkit

This model will be a “Commemorative Model”. It’ll come first to Warhammer stores from December 26th until January 3rd, followed by a release online through GW’s website. This harkens way back to the Gorkamorka 1998 Gamesday mini. It’s almost the same mini but with a new flair!

Nothing wrong with a little bit of nostalgia! For a crazy year, there is nothing wrong with bringing back some old minis!

Which of the minis was your favorite? How many did you manage to grab?
