Cherry Blossoms & Poxes: New GW Rumor Engine
This Rumor engine scratches our brainstorming and theory-crafting itch! While it doesn’t like a potential tree with poxes for something Nurgle, Warhammer Total War 2 recently got a resurgence thanks to Immortal Empires breathing life back into the game…
That’s Important because the high-Asia-inspired Cathay is a major faction there!
If you don’t remember, when we got the original previews of the Warhammer Fantasy re-boot known as The Old World, Cathay was a featured faction there too!
What does the tree have to do with Cathay? Cherry Blossoms are known for being a Japanese/Asian icon, which means it would be a stretch for GW to add some of that iconography to The Old World Cathay faction.
Even still, this is a little bit of a stretch, and we haven’t heard about Old World or Cathay for a while now, so don’t be surprised if it ends up being Nurgle, or even just springtime buds or something else entirely. But guessing is always fun!
We will just have to wait and see!
