GW may have just dropped proof that a new Lion (or any good guy Primarch) Miniature is on the way soon, possibly before 10th edition?
The rumors have really been flowing for the Lion, and the more we see, the more likely it’s all looking. Before we go further, remember this is still just rumor. So, nothing is actually confirmed until GW shows us pictures of the model! as with all rumors, take this with as much salt as you need.
With that said, this is pretty interesting when combined with everything else we’ve heard! Let’s start with the newest piece of the puzzle, then take a look back at some more evidence.
Proof a New Lion Primarch Miniature is On the Way Soon?
This comes from the Arks of Omen: Grand Tournament Mission Pack FAQ, and the paragraph highlighted is the interesting part.
At first, it might not seem like much. Still, the way they worded this, it seems like there is more than one Astartes Primarch model by the inclusion or even invention of this keyword. Currently, there is only one (Guilliman) Primach model, and he has the PRIMARCH keyword.
So why would they word it this way and not just say his name? Instead, they made the distinction of using this new ADEPTUS ASTARTES PRIMARCH keyword.
Secondly, if the other rumors are true 10th edition is coming in June, which means they would have to release another Adeptus Astartes Primarch model before June to make this even matter. When you combine those with the other rumors, it looks like we could potentially see the Lion return before 10th edition, as he is the most likely of the Astartes Primarchs at this point.

Also, just to note, you can only take one Supreme Commander in an AoO army detachment and keep your benefits too from this FAQ.
This is a lot of conjecture at this point; however, if even a couple of the rumors line up, this newest piece of the puzzle from GW might just show us the timeline for the model coming out! So, if they are true, we might just see the Lion make a return before June of this year! Now, let’s check out some more lore pointing toward his return.
RUMORS: Lion El’Jonson Returning Soon to Warhammer 40k
These screenshots come from Valrak, and it looks like Arks of Omen Book One might just confirm new models for 40k- primarch or otherwise!
Unfortunately, the picture quality isn’t the best, but you can still more or less read it. The first few tips towards Dark Angels are the talk of digging (maybe towards the Lion’s chamber) and a vast fortress. It sure sounds like the Rock to us.
So, we know Angron is getting his own Arks of Omen book, and if you ask us, he sure seems like a crimson giant (but maybe they mean Magnus too). It would be interesting to see him assaulting the Rock, and as they destroy more and more of the Rock, they get closer and closer to Lion. However, when they get there, there is nothing, as he has risen!
Spooky.
Lastly, and possibly the biggest hint, an ancient knight kneels upon his field of victory. Who is more ancient of a knight than Lion? Not many! Even though he rises and wins the day, it looks like the Rock will be nearly destroyed, at least from the sounds of this.
However, this could also be Azrael, as he is also an ancient knight and getting a new model as well. Plus, that line of text is before the inner circle one with nothing there. Maybe, Angron gets stopped by Azrael, and then they go to find Lion, and he’s gone.
Maybe Magnus used Angron’s assault as a ruse to get him? Maybe he raised, and we’ll see him leading an army soon?
