Another preview model has been revealed, as GW just showed off the new Horus Heresy Sky-hunter Squadron!
Let’s be honest with ourselves, who wants to drive around the battlefield when you can fly? The new Sky-hunters will let you do just that!
The Horus Heresy minis are being revealed much faster than the other games, as we have also seen the new Alpha Legion Sniper! That means we’ve already seen two of the shadowed minis from GW’s New Year preview. Either way, getting new miniatures for any game is always good, so we’re not complaining!
New Horus Heresy Sky-hunter Squadron Revealed By GW!

The Scimitar Jetbikes of the Age of Darkness are modifications of complex pre-Imperium designs. Essentially compact aircraft with the addition of grav-impellors, they rush your Space Marines into combat at great speed. And soon you’ll be able to add them to your army in plastic.
These are just fun models, and jetbikes are just always cool! It appears they will have a decent number of weapons options in the kit to boot!

It was pretty obvious these were on the way when we saw this, but it’s always nice to have it fully confirmed!
Beyond the living weapon mounted on the back, each Scimitar is fitted with a heavy bolter as standard, which can be upgraded to a volkite culverin, a multi-melta, or a plasma cannon, a new way to deliver firepower with surgical precision.
As we said, having more options in the kit is always nice. Unfortunately, they didn’t give much info on the release, but hopefully, we see them soon!
Sky-hunter Squadron Rules
Their speed opens up various strategic options. Run them up the battlefield, and they provide a tempting target for a foe, but their speed makes them harder to track, granting Shrouded (5+).
If they chose to engage in combat, they can unleash a salvo of fire before charging thanks to Relentless, score an extra hit at Initiative 10 with Hammer of Wrath, and subsequently disengage from any unfavourable combat situations with Hit & Run.
They have plenty of special rules and will obviously be fast! They are also great at running across the board and shooting all their heavy weapons, and they can even fire before they charge in.
