There’s a new Idoneth Deekin rumor floating around. Come find out the latest on the newest army announced for Age of Sigmar.
We’re seeing a new rumor for the upcoming Idoneth Deepkin and Dark Eldar releases claiming to know some information we haven’t seen or heard yet. Let’s jump right in and take a look at the latest rumor that was spotted over on Miniwars.
As always, don’t forget to add salt…
So, according to the latest rumor, we’re going to see an April 21st release date with pre-orders starting on the 14th (supposedly after the Dark Eldar)?
The Idoneth Deepkin are going to get two named characters, three generic character/unit kits, and two dual kits.
Alongside those will be the sunken skip model that we saw in the Glub Glub teaser, and it’s called the Ethryic Vortex. Now, this is all dependant on whether or not this rumor is true. Once again, take it with a grain of salt.
Now, let’s take a look at what we’ve seen so far for the fabled Sea Elves.
There was an image from the Daughters of Khaine battletome that alluded to the rumored Sea Elves from all the rumor engine posts and teasers from Games Workshop.
With some additional details for us from Reddit:
“Is a complete new line like kharadrons Underwater aesthetic mix greek atlanteans and eldar corsair. They have been hiding in underwater cities and have control over some sea fauna, water and mist. I cannot be more specific but the apparently reason for being hiding is that they hides something in secret. Beautiful models, same size that blood bowl elven union and some models have great potential for conversions into custom exodites”
“The new aelf range are Mathlann followers”
“Atlantean aesthetic, some are very similar to Kairic Acolytes with Spite-Revenants face, anothers looks a lot more eldar – Mistweaver Saih are part of the range.”
About the glub glub video “This is an actual piece of scenery GW is going to sell, and that will have its own rules like the Sylvaneth Wyldwood. It’s part of the entire Sea Aelves new range, which are absolutely stunning visually, will have tons of sea creatures to ride, one of which is MASSIVE, and unique high cost heroes with crazy design. Also forget about the Cthullu look, their design is closer to Atlantean Spartans.“
Looks like Spartan styling for this helm in the background of GW’s recent teaser image?
Here’s what we know about the Mistweaver Saih from Games Workshop’s Silver Tower:
Able to turn the minds of her enemies against them, the Mistweaver Saih is a sinister figure hailing from the Realm of Shadow. Very little else is known about her, and her emotions, motivations and allegiances are impossible to understand. The only other certainty is that she is an immensely powerful enchantress, disturbingly serene in the centre of her storms of illusory horror and violent bloodshed.
Also according to the fluff that the Warhammer Community Team covered in their live streams:
Teclis’ first enclave were called the Idoneth – although they disappeared, and future projects proved better.
Remember your salt here folks, but from the looks of it, that Glub, Glub, Glub, video was just the beginning of what may turn out to be a fabulous looking race of Sea Elves
There’s a whole new faction coming out, which most likely means we’re going to be able to identify some of the Rumor Engine pictures as soon as we start seeing the models. Which of these images do you think belong to the Idoneth Deepkin?
With all the talk of Sea Aelves lately and the announcement of the Idoneth Deepkin from Games Workshop, we’re really looking forward to finding out more. There’s a good chance that we’ll find out more during Adepticon next week, so be sure to check back in with us for the latest updates, we’ll be putting them out as soon as we get them.
