A new character is continuing the line of the Dark Angels for Horus Heresy; this time, it’s the highly skilled Corswain.
It wasn’t that long ago GW revealed a few Praetors for Death Guard, But now in a change of pace, they just revealed that Corswain for Dark Angels is next in line. He may not have too many extra bits (except an extra head), but he looks great.
Warhammer Community unveiled the new mini but didn’t give an exact release date. However, like most stuff for HH, once they show it, we assume it’s only about a month or so out.
Let’s take a closer look!
Horus Heresy Corswain is on the Way From Forge World
Ranked alongside Raldoron for his level-headedness, and Sigismund for his skill in battle,* Corswain was named Seneschal by Lion El’Jonson, who tasked him with hunting down the traitorous Typhon. Corswain strides to war clad in the legendary Armour of the Forest and the Mantle of the Champion, which was created upon Caliban using Terran steel. In combat, he wields a Terranic Greatsword, known only as The Blade.**
While this is a named character in Horus Heresy, with a few small adjustments and kitbashes, this could easily be a proxy for Azrael in 40k! Perhaps some larger head wings and a bolter on his waist?
This highly detailed resin miniature is adorned with Dark Angels Legion heraldry and can be assembled with either a hooded or helmeted head. Rules for fielding Corswain in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy can be found in Liber Astartes – Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book.
From the looks of it, the head is really the only extra bit, and it does make him look more unique, but man, that helmet is just iconic! Look for him to drop soon from Forge World.
