2022 Age of Sigmar Christmas Battleforces: What’s the Value?

Thanks to Warhammer Community, we know there will be a whopping seven AoS Christmas Battleforces in 2022 (almost doubled from 4 last year). That is huge, as starting in 2016, there were only eight battleforces altogether for both AoS and Warhammer 40k total!

Christmas is coming. We’ve already seen this year’s new Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces, and it’s time to see what’s inside the Warhammer Age of Sigmar sets. Whichever Grand Alliance you’re a fan of, there’s a box for you.

These were previously $210 each in 2021, with a value of around $300, and the price has been announced at $210 for 2022 as well! So it’s nice to see the price not going up.

Are the 2022 Warhammer AoS Christmas Battleforces Worth it?

• Overall, all the AoS Christmas Battleforces for 2022 have about the same value, but these are a little more spread out than the 40k ones, with some almost $50 apart in MSRP of models inside.
• Either way, whatever you pick, they will all have decent value inside. So that point, it just really just comes down to if you “need” the minis.
• Some are more focused on a certain aspect of an army, while others are more varied. For example, if you look at the Skaven box, almost all the value comes from the big blocks of 40 rats. So if you really want a lot of troops, it’s a good buy.
• However, the box for Kruleboyz is pretty decent, but a huge value comes in the way of the big characters, so if you already have them, it doesn’t have too much other value.

Regardless, they are all decent buys, with the price staying at $210 (the same as last year).
