Airhorns! More light has been shed on the mysterious Sisters of Battle unit. Check out the rules for the Adeptus Sororitas Battle Sanctum!
We still haven’t seen an official preview showcasing the Battle Sanctum, but we know it exists. If you missed it earlier, here was all the rumors and teasers on the Battle Sanctum up to now.
Mystery Sisters Unit Hidden in Plain Sight?
At the very bottom of a recent post, Warhammer Community mentioned some new units including the Battle Sanctum.
And that’s just a sample of what’s on the way for Sisters of Battle – we haven’t even BEGUN to look at Retributors, Zephyrim, the Battle Sanctum, or the other datasheets in the codex yet…
Doing some serious digging, we found a picture on the article covering the lore on Hyperia Hivesprawls in Urban Conquest with the photo above. But to add even more weight behind it, the Sororitas were mentioned as being a governing force at the Hivesprawl as well.
Entire regiments of the Vigilant Guard and resident orders of the Adepta Sororitas secured positions around the Governor’s Palace at Saint’s Haven.
Looking at the picture close-up you can even make out the Sororitas classic fleur de lis. The image immediately above was also in the first Vigilus book from a year ago, as well.
Sisters of Battle Battle Sanctum 40k Rules SPOTTED!
The Battle Sanctum rules sheet was spotted making rounds across the web and it looks like it might not be a flying vehicle after all…
It looks like the Battle Sanctum is a terrain piece lying in wait. The key giveaways are that once it’s set up, it can’t move and you can throw Infantry dudes and dudettes inside to man the walls. It’s only Power Level 3, and it costs 50 points.
But how big will it be? Can we take multiple in a list? These are just a few of the questions that seeing this rules sheet brings up.
If we are able to bring more than one and they don’t take up too big of a footprint on the table, they could be used as Miracle Dice generators and may be the groundwork for a Sororitas gunline.
Either way, what do you think about these rules for the Sanctum? Would you like to see Sisters get a terrain piece?
