HH Malevolence, New Daemons, Primarchs & Sanguinius LATEST

sanguinius_by_koowanchee

With new art showing Sanguinius and the talk of Horus Heresy weekender previews in February abound, let’s take a look at what we know about Malevolence.

Currently, the Horus Heresy timeline is still being advanced with the Seige of Terra still a ways off for the tabletop game.  Overall the timeline is also progressing in the novels, as well as with Adeptus Titanicus whose first expansion will center around the battles on the fringes of the Siege of Terra as well.

That being said, as far as the tabletop game goes, it still isn’t just static replays of old battles either. Book VIII: Malevolence is next for Horus Heresy which has been the centerpiece for topics of new Primarch model(s) and Daemons for months now.

So what all have we heard so far? Let’s take a look back at the latest from all of 2018:

First Word on Malevolence

Here’s all the coverage from the Malevolence seminar and with some updates from Battle Bunnies who were at the event.

Malevolence Seminar – it’s all about daemons, Blood Angels, White Scars, Space Wolves and Alpha Legion.

Timeline

New Daemon kits coming to combat Legions. Variations and upgrades. They are still working on the rules, and are looking at militia-style rule builds.

Chondax and Signus Prime

Signus Prime will be based around the Sigus system and combating Daemons. Chondax will be based around Alpha Legion trying to stall the White Scars leaving their Chondax Crusade. Rules for Jaghatti and Sanguinius!

horus Heresy MalevolenceVlka Fenryka are in attendance and it is to do with the Alpha Legion chasing the Rout into the Alaxxes Nebula…There will be a new Destroyer unit for the Blood Angels – they wear silver death masks!

Sanguinius: will be one of the better melee Primarchs.
Raldoron will get rules (almost certainly) in this book. 1 Primarch and 2 Characters for White Scars and Blood Angels.
Possibly Amit might be with the Fleshtearers faction at a later date. But he is still in the runnings.
Dark Angels hopefully in a book 2019, with the updated red books 2020 (this is a best guessed timeline).
White Scars. The previous rules might be updated slightly (from feedback from the community).

A New Faction of Daemons & Legion Details

Khan will possibly have the option for jet bike, including model option.
Yesugai might not get rules in this book for pretty much the same way as Amit above, he might not be so central to the story they are telling at the moment.
But the White Scars First Captain could get featured!

Existing named Daemons will be present, the big ones from Signis may get special rules, but it is likely that you can make your own Greater Daemon with options/structure akin to Militia to build him.

Looks like tons of updates are on the way for players of Horus Heresy including Daemons!

Forge World Previews Sanguinius & Ka’ Bandha Art

We’ve reached 100,000 Facebook fans! That’s a veritable Legion of Forge World fanatics. To reward your loyalty, here’s some brand new artwork from an upcoming release (can you guess which one?)

It looks like Forge World’s next big project is going to be a major plot advancement in the Horus Heresy timeline.

Where do we Stand?

Forge World Alpharius

We’ve already seen Alpharius get his model and we know that the Alpha Legion pulled the White Scars away from the Chondax System where the Blood Angels were fighting Daemons of the warp. It would make sense that we would see Jaghatai AND Sanguinius emerge somewhere within Malevolence as they were working closely by each other.
