Snikrot Creeps Back Into Warhammer 40k & New Orks Boarding Patrol
If there’s one single word with which the denizens of the 41st millennium would not associate Orks, it’s “subtlety”. Yet despite millennia of evolutionary odds stacked against them, a handful of Orks have embraced da kunnin’ but brutal ways of Mork, favouring sneakin’ about with massive knives over headlong assaults and big dakka – hang on, what’s that right behind you?
Snikrot, often known as Da Green Ghost, is a sly spectre who specialises in slitting throats and taking scalps with his massive combat knives, known as Mork’s Teeth.
This new model of Snikrot definitely has a more aggressive pose than the old model, more in line with what you’d expect from an Ork! Keen-eyed hobbyists have probably noticed that rumor engine bit on his base as well.
It also looks like the last of the New Year’s preview models have finally been revealed with Snikrot’s appearance at the Warhammer World Open Day.
Last seen on Armageddon, this clandestine killer has recently been spotted on the Arks of Omen, his approach heralded only by the ominous whine of his trademark night vision goggles activating in the dark.
We imagine there will also be new rules downloads for both Snikrot, just like we saw for Azrael and Vashtorr 40k Datasheets.
Snikrot has three head options – mask off, mask up, or mask down – and you’ll be able to get him first in the upcoming Boarding Patrol: Orks. This box packs in five tooled-up Flash Gitz, 10 Beast Snagga Boyz, and 10 Kommandos – their loyal Distraction Grot and Bomb Squig in tow.
Previous rumors of a two-player battlebox appear to be incorrect, as both the new Snikrot and Farshight will be releasing for the first time inside their respective new Boarding Patrol boxes.
