Now that we’ve got our first exclusive model of 2020, it’s a great time to look back at all the GW exclusive models are on deck from 2019.
2019 has been a busy year for GW and in the realm of exclusive minis, they didn’t disappoint. Take a closer look at some of the top exclusive event minis we’ve seen released. Then to top it off get a peek at the next model!
Essential Hobby Products Lists
Let’s quickly rundown all the models we saw last year.
Primaris Lieutenant Amulius
Lieutenant Amulius is Easy-to-build and was seen (finally) at 2019’s Adepticon as a surprise exclusive mini.
While he’s a normal Primaris Lieutenant on the tabletop, his model is definitely sweet and puts off a generic codex-Astartes vibe.
Primaris Sergeant Jovan
This guy was another store exclusive for 40k in 2019. And while he may be a Primaris, at least he’s not a Lieutenant. He’s got one of the more dynamic posing/bases that we’ve seen in terms of Primaris characters so far. At the end of the day, he’ll make a fantastic (insert T4 HQ here) for any Chapter.
Sister of Battle: Amalia Novena
Amalia was first previewed at last years’ Adepticon and we really didn’t know anything besides the model’s pose. It turns out that she was the store exclusive mini on June 29th’s Warhammer Day celebration. The best part is that she’s fully plastic and isn’t Easy-to-Build!
Sisters Cannoness
Looking at the new Canoness model, she was passed out to everyone that made it to the previews at 2019’s NOVA event.
Over 50% Off Star Wars, Board Games & More: FFG Sale
Note that while she was handed out earlier and considered (exclusive), she’ll also be coming inside the Sisters of Battle Army Set.
Warhammer Day Unpainted Funko POP! Marine
This guy made a debut at Warhammer Day in 2019 after the earlier releases were of faction-prepainted Space Marines. (Ultramarine, Space Wolf, Dark Angel, and Blood Angel). These still sell on eBay for $40-$60 currently.
Leena Stormspire
This named Stormcast was a hero that was only available for store openings, refurbishments or relocations. Rocking a shield and sword, she opted for a more tanky-loadout over her battle-brother, Berek.
Berek the Indomitable
Berek the indomitable is a Stormcast that’s all about damage. With a big two-handed hammer, he doesn’t need to try and block anything.
Like Leena, he’s posed standing over the top of a Greenskin he’s just slaughtered. It looks like he literally batted the torso off on an Orruk and ran over to go stand on it for the classic “Captain Morgan hero pose”. Really though, we can’t blame him.
Larissa Shadowstalker
Larissa Shadowstalker is a Knight-Questor armed with a stormstrike glaive. She’s on foot and doesn’t have a shield so, in terms of in-game rules, she’s not the most high-speed low-drag option. However, she’s definitely got an awesome pose and looks like she’s been around the mortal realms a time or two!
Dacian Anvil
Dacian Anvil is the latest Stormcast special character to be previewed. He’s actually not available yet, however, he was just announced to hit the scene in Adepticon 2020 as an exclusive model!
Speaking of Adepticon 2020, this guy will be there as well, and may just be the first Astartes model that’s not Primaris that GW has released since the start of 8th edition!
Valerian & Aleya
These two are exclusive models for the Black Library Celebration 2020! They are pretty new and come bundled together if you can get them you should while you can!
Sergeant ‘Ripper’ Jackson
Enter the first announcement for the next exclusive model of 2020!
She’s packing a boltgun, chainsword, laspistol (you can never have enough guns), a bionic leg and an intimidating presence – as befitting a leader of the Astra Militarum. This model makes an ideal display piece, from the pose to the scenic jungle base which is decorated with carnivorous plants and a thoroughly deceased Tyranid organism.
Another thing to note, the plant in the bottom left was a rumor engine! One more off the list! This model is sweet, a complete badass, done in good taste. Kudos GW for this one!
Will you be picking up this new model at a new store or trying to get it on eBay? Do you wish there were more ways to grab exclusive models?
