New Horus Heresy World Eaters Rules are Ferocious

world-eaters-rules-horus-heresyGW previewed some Horus Heresy World Eaters rules for the new edition, and they are still full of anger- check it out!

With the release of the starter and new edition imminent, it’s time for GW to start revealing new Horus Heresy rules. This time around, they are focusing on the World Eaters.

Warhammer Community showed off some new legion-specific rules; let’s check them out!

New Horus Heresy World Eaters Rules

World Eaters Rules

The World Eaters are best of the best at getting right up into (and punching) the faces of the enemy. They won’t need to write a pretentious little poem about it, either – these gore-spattered gladiators are Violence Incarnate, and entirely too enthusiastic about pummeling their foes into a pulp.

Always getting that +1 attack, even in a Disordered Charge, will really make them hit hard!

World Eaters Rules 2

It’s said that a single well-honed blade can defeat an entire armoury of lesser weapons. The XII Legion prefer roaring chainaxes, but they agree in principle. Is your foe cowering behind barricades? Charge. Scrambling for melee? Charge. Shooting you in the face? Charge. Even a hail of bullets can’t stop The Savage Tide – an Advanced Reaction that lets your infantry shrug off outrageous volumes of fire, then reply with an earth-shattering assault.

This is a pretty awesome reaction. You can use it to keep your unit alive, but where it comes into play is when you’re also in range to charge. As fewer models should die, and then you get to charge in!

World Eaters Rules 3

While the skulking cowards of the Night Lords figure out how to sneak around toting oversized chainglaives, the World Eaters prefer a less elegant weapon, befitting a more brutal age. The XII Legion pioneered the use of the chainaxe, which trades the balance of a chainsword for a heftier biting edge – perfect for putting the full force of their transhuman musculature and Savage Fervour behind every swing.

This rule just makes sense because, come on, axes.

Angron Rules

World Eaters Rules 4

They didn’t show off the rules, but luckily, we spotted the rules on the interwebs!

Angron rulesObviously, he has a ton of WS, Hatred for everything, Rampage, and Furious Charge! Then, his Warlord Trait will give the army FNP and Adamantium Will and gives you three reactions in the enemy’s Movement Phase.

Angron rules 2He can just challenge everyone which is fun, then he keeps getting more attacks, and gets a 2+/4+/6+. His weapons are also quite strong and will make him even more of a monster in combat.

World Eaters Legion Specific Rules

World Eaters RulesThe Red Butchers are quite strong and will get a ton of attacks and can have some really cool wargear. And as you would expect, they hate everything!

World Eaters Rules 2You can gain wounds throughout the game, you can reduce enemies’ LD, and you can gain attacks and strength!

World Eaters Rules 3Lastly, they get even more rules to just charge through the enemy as fast as possible!
