Unlock New Possibilities With Star Wars: Legion Points Update

Star-Wars-Legion-Logo-rew-rulesAMG just dropped the new Star Wars: Legion points update and there are some pretty big changes for the game- check it out!

This has been a little delayed, but let’s hope that means AMG took a closer look at what really needed to be balanced instead of rushing it out. From the looks of it, people seem pretty happy overall with the changes.

Just keep in mind these are on AMG’s site but are not effective until 6/15/23. However, if you’re playing some casual games, you could easily get some practice in with the new rules! Let’s jump into the changes.

The Star Wars: Legion Points Update is Here!

The changes come from AMG’s website.

Star Wars Legion Points UpdateThe Galactic Empire gets some pretty balanced adjustments, with six decreases and four increases. Maybe the biggest is the Heavy Response Unit going up by 10 points (which is a 33% increase).

However, they had some significant decreases in upgrades, and the Bo-Rifle went down by 10 points, so it might actually make more people play it.

This is decent, as it doesn’t kill the highly competitive and popular Blizzard Force, but they do get some increases in points.

Rebel Alliance Star Wars Legion Point Changes

Star Wars Legion Points Update 2The Rebel Alliance has been a little weak as of late, and AMG gave them all point decreases! So, if you play the Rebels, you will be happy with these changes. Lando gets the most significant drop in terms of characters, and Tauntauns also get a decent decrease (5 points).

The rebels also got a ton of decreases for upgrades too.

Galactic Republic Star Wars Legion Point Changes

Star Wars Legion Points Update 3The Galactic Republic also only got point decreases this go around.  These look to be some of the biggest overall, with multiple upgrades going down by 15 points. Then, Arc Troopers get a 6 points decrease, and the TX 130 goes down by 10 points.

So, it looks like you’ll be able to squeeze in a few more units with the changes, and maybe we’ll actually see Arcs on the table for once!

Separatist Alliance Star Wars Legion Point Changes

Star Wars Legion Points Update 4The Separatists also get decreases across the board, with both Dooku and Grievous (a double decrease with his upgrades) getting their points cut!

Unfortunately, Boba Fett goes up by ten points, and the Black Sun Enforcers also go up in points (and the upgrade goes up by 3 points). However, Swoop Bikers and Gar Saxon go down in points.

Just to note, the Mag-Det Enforcer does go up in points even though the points are not blue.

Star Wars Legion Upgrades Point Changes

Star Wars Legion Points Update 5Last but not least, Force choke doubles in price (5 to 10, but still worth it), and the Quad Laser Cannon goes down by 3 points.

We’ll know soon if this new points update was enough for other factions to seize the day and rise up against the stranglehold that Blizzard Force has on the competitive scene currently!
