Space Marine Heroes Series 2 is finally out and new pictures are popping up showing all the new merchandise including unexpected new Manga as well.
Space Marine Heroes have been getting a lot of attention from hobbyists across the world. If you haven’t already heard, Space Marine Heroes were originally exclusive only to Japan. As they got more and more popular, the Series expanded to areas across the globe.
The USA is now getting Space Marine Heroes Series one, while Japan is just moving into Space Marine Heroes Series Two. Plus they’ve even got their own Manga on the way for the Terminators.
Space Marine Heroes Series 2 Arrive w/ Surprise Release
The Heroes inside are push-fit so you won’t need any glue and you’ll actually be able to pop the bits off without clippers! you may still want something to scrape the mould lines off though.
The box set will contain six models from the Blood Angels Chapter. Each one with a unique pose and weapon. Collect them all to make a full squad.
Blood Angel’s Legendary Heroes
There are six heroes of the Imperium including one with a standard bearer, storm bolter, and a cyclone missile launcher. The models come colored red and in an easy to build (ETB) fashion similar to the Dark Imperium box set and the Shadespire Warbands so new collectors won’t have as many problems getting into the hobby.
As another means to make it easy to get people into the hobby, there’s also a 12-paint set that will be sold along with the Heroes.

Seen on Spikey Bits Hobby Group,
These Heroes are available for pick up today over in Japan. There are two ways of getting your hands on these. You could buy an entire pack for the guaranteed six Heroes, or buy them individually as you get the hobby money and try to collect them all. There’s also an attractive range of paint colors with full-sized pots. This is even more enticing to people just getting into the hobby.
Heroes Getting Their own Manga
From The Flying Goblin’s Twitter, the Blood Angels are getting their own book exclusive to Japan. (for now)
These are looking to come out to Japan’s hobbyists and fans on October 12th. There still may be some lucky people that can get their hands on these books in other areas of the world. If you’re bummed that these are “Japan exclusives”, there’s a silver lining.
Originally, we thought these collectible sets would only be for Japan PERIOD. However, we’ve got the first series of characters on their way to stores across America and more. Give it some time and we may very well see the second series on the shelves too.
Now let’s take a look at the latest on the first Series of Space Marine Heroes.
New Space Marines Coming in November
Space Marine Heroes is a blind-buy collectible coming from Games Workshop in November. This is a collection of 9 miniatures to collect that are sold in CDUs of 12 with a rarity system. 8 of the miniatures will be in every CDU and the ultra rare will be in every third dispenser. The goal for this release is to place this collectible item in stores that do not normally carry Games Workshop as well as the normal Games Workshop stores
The whole idea behind these models is to get people who know nothing about Warhammer into the game. They will also be in stores where you wouldn’t normally find any GW models. It appears the reasoning seems to be the same as the new boxed games, Space Marine Adventures, Blitz Bowl and the new LoTR game at Barnes & Noble, or even 40k Monopoly; market saturation, and new customer acquisition.
Don’t worry though, these models WILL be at your local GW stores too.
The boxes will be a “Blind Buy” collectible series with a rarity aspect. The packages will come pretty standard-issue. You’ll get the model on sprue, a picture of the model painted up, instructions, and a collectors card.
There is a total of NINE miniatures to collect (as opposed to the original 12 that Japan got) and they’ll be sold in a case of twelve. Keep an eye out for your ultra rare figure as well.
He’ll be difficult to get ahold of, but judging by his silhouette we may have already seen him before:
Brother Captain Tassarius
Look out for this batch of the Emperor’s finest to hit the shelves sometime in November. The total box will cost around $84.00.
Moving forward, would you like to see Series 2 Heroes hit the shelves in other parts of the world? Will you be trying to get your hands on the Manga? What’s your favorite mini out of the sets?
