Gladiator Star Destroyers can usually handle themselves, but this one has brought along a Gauntlet Fighter Escort! Wreak havoc upon the enemy fleet with this flanker.
Gladiators are aggressive ships despite their size in Star Wars Armada. The Gladiator-II is no exception with its bevy of ordnance upgrade potential. This version is also more adept at taking out enemy fighter with its 2 blue anti-squadron attack. The Gladiator-II is best suited for a flanking role, and once it gets there it can deliver its payload!
Wide Area Barrage is the perfect ordnance upgrade for the Gladiator-II. This ordnance upgrade initiates off of a black critical and allows you to choose 1 other ship or squadron at close range of the defender and that ship suffers damage equal to half of the total number of black hit icons in your damage pool. This splash damage can wreak havoc on tightly clustered flotillas and squadrons, a common tactic of Rebel admirals.
This aggressive flanker is bringing some friends along for the ride. A Fighter Coordination Team is strategically placed on this Gladiator-II to bring a fighter escort. After the Glad-II executes a maneuver, it may select a number of squadrons equal to its squadron value and those squadrons may perform a speed 1 maneuver. This allows your squadrons to get an extra boost against your enemies, and the Gauntlet Fighter is the perfect wingman!
The Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighter is an impressive squadron that can take down enemy ships by disrupting their commands. The Gauntlet Fighter come equipped with Assault, which allows them to spend 1 hit icon while attacking a ship to force that ship to gain 1 raid token. Raid tokens force your opponent to discard their top command dial when they activate, and that can spell doom for a Rebel fleet, especially one that relies heavily on squadron support!
