Two big Warhammer 40k Space Marine releases were previewed yet are still missing in action heading into 2024!
GW released a massive wave of 10th Edition models for Space Marines, in October 2023. Unfortunately, the Scouts and multi-part Terminator Captain were missing from them. However, we know the Scouts will be in the new Kill Team Salvation box against the Striking Scorpions. But that leaves us with the Captain and one more surprising release that may still be stuck in the warp somewhere.
Two New Space Marine Releases Still Missing Going Into 2024
Speaking of Kill Team, the new Space Marine Heroes 4 blind boxes announced for sale on September 15th, 2023, are still missing from store shelves in North America (as of this writing).
Multipart Space Marine Terminator Captain Is Still Missing
This model looks pretty awesome, but you still can’t get him yet! This makes us wonder if he will be paired in some new box, just like the scouts were. Interestingly, he wasn’t even put into the Combat Patrol either. That Captain is the push-fit from Leviathan, and not the multipart kit previewed above.
Games Workshop has already put out multiple boxes with Terminators, so we aren’t exactly sure what release they are saving him for. Perhaps the upcoming Dark Angels release?
However, GW has been slow on releasing kits after the reveal lately; as it took eight months for them to release the minis from Strike Force Agastus on their own. So, it might be some time before we see either of these missing releases. Or, who knows, they might sneak him into a random release in the next few months.
Or, the other option is they are saving him for another bundle box. Though, at this point, we’re not sure what else Games Workshop would pair him with, considering you can buy the Terminators on their own.
However, they have been selling a lot of boxed board games lately. So, who knows, maybe he will be fighting off a horde of some Xenos soon in another board game release. Or maybe he will get released as a stand-alone model alongside the Dark Angels codex?
Either way, let’s hope he appears soon!
