Warhammer Day 2023 Reveals!
This parade of awesome articles will culminate on Saturday with an extra-special live reveal show on the Warhammer Twitch Channel. Things kick off at 2pm BST, and there’s a real welter of stuff to unveil: new books and miniatures for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, a new box and a new faction for Kill Team, and big news for Warhammer: The Old World.
The last few previews have been quite late at night, so it’s nice to finally see one coming at a somewhat average time here in the States, unless you live on the West Coast, as you might have to get up early!
Here are the quick links to all the previews from Warhammer Day 2023. Click on any of them for the full articles!

Striking Scorpions Take on Scouts in New Kill Team Box!
Striking Scorpions are consummate hunters, specialised in stalking their prey through dense environments. These patient warriors often lay motionless for days, observing their victims before descending upon them in a whirlwind of shuriken pistols, mandiblasters, and chainswords.
It’s been a really long time since we saw new models for these, and they have definitely updated the aesthetic to the new edition. They are much slimmer than before but still keep the classic look. You even get an Exarch in the box, which is nice.
They look to have a lot of options for posing, and even some tactical rocks thrown in there!
You get 10 Striking Scorpions in the box, so much better than just grabbing a squad of five.
Scout Squad
Armed with a diverse array of weapons, including Astartes shotguns, boltguns, pistols, sniper rifles, heavy bolters, and missile launchers, these customisable squads are more than capable of tackling the Asuryani threat – and the myriad other crash-landed kill teams now operating on Bheta-Decima.
We already saw these when the Space Marines launched, but you will get 10 in the box to fight against the Scorpions.
What’s in the Box
Kill Team: Salvation is a more tightly focused box than previous releases. It contains two kill teams consisting of 10 Striking Scorpions and 10 Space Marine Scouts, plus six pieces of Salvation Rig Apparatus terrain.
There will actually be two separate boxes, one with the minis and scatter terrain, and one box with a whole new Killzone.
The box also contains a Kill Team: Salvation book, packed with background information on Bheta-Decima and the combatants in the box, as well as rules for both teams, and for fighting skirmish battles on extraction-rigs jutting out of a lethal ocean. There are also exclusive reference cards for both teams – including datacards, Tac Ops, ability, ploy, and equipment cards, as well as token sheets.
So you’ll get 20 minis total and some scatter terrain in the Kill Team Salvation box. If you want the full setup of terrain, you’ll have to get the Killzone box separately.
New Killzone Terrain Box
You can use these kill teams with your own collection of existing terrain, or grab the upcoming Killzone: Bheta-Decima. This set contains 18 pieces of terrain to use with the new killzone rules in Kill Team: Salvation – including a Ferratonic Furnace with a redesigned platform and ramparts, eight modular gantries (two large, two small, and four medium), and nine industrial-themed objective markers, plus a double-sided game board representing the toxic, fume-shrouded oceans of Bheta-Decima.
They mention everything in the middle is actually water, and you can kick your enemy into the piranha-infested waters in-game (not actually confirmed… yet).
