World Eaters 40k Battleforce Box Review

World Eaters slaughterboundThinking about grabbing the Gorestorm Slaughterpack Battleforce Box? Well, if you want the new Slaughterbound miniature, this will be the first place to score it!

It also looks like it should have some decent value and save you some hobby dollars at retail price only!

However, keep in mind that this isn’t worth paying a premium for on sites like eBay due to pre-order allocations.. As with only around $100 in savings compared to the individual kits, there isn’t much room for scalpers and hobbyists on this one.

Is This Worth It?

Do you want Eightbound? If you answered yes, then this is the box for you! They and the new model make up the majority of the value, and the Jakhals are a nice icing on top to score objectives and do secondaries. While your Eighbound charge into the fray and destroy everything in their path.

However, if you already have enough Eightbound, then this is probably a hard pass, and it’s better to just wait for the Slaughterbound to release on its own.

How Many Points Is It?

While the new codex isn’t out yet, based on the current points and Chaos Space Marines, we would guess this box is somewhere around 700-750 points. But, as you know, the tides of the Grimdark universe are ever-shifting, and with the latest points updates, that number could quickly fluctuate.

What to Buy Next?

Angron MiniatureWell, this has all the new miniatures coming for the faction (just the one), so there’s nothing new to worry about grabbing. With this box, you have all the Eightbound you really need for a list, so you need to start filling out the list with some more characters to buff up the Eightbound, some Dreadnoughts, a Berzerker Warband and honestly, probably Angron!

However, without the new codex out yet, we don’t know how the detachments are shaping up. But, GW did hint at a Chaos Daemons detachment, so you could always lean into that angle and grab a bunch of Khornate Daemons.
